Generally speaking, I don't have a massive problem with this.

Other than if he had fought Hrgovic or Zhang and won easily, it would be exactly the same narrative right now as it is about Wallin and Ngannou...
Hrgovic would be a protected prospect with only hypejob Zhang on his resume (not entirely untrue in truth, but it'd be a far more popular opinion if he'd lost to Joshua). And Zhang would've been a guy who'd only beaten Joyce out of the top-200, a hypejob - sure, he's dangerous with real power, but he's also hyped a bit too hard for my liking given his thin resume.

This is the issue with Joshua... Yes, he's a horrible little scrote, but the double standards get a bit ridiculous.
He's entirely manufactured and had an easy run (despite having by far the deepest resume in the division), his chin is glass (even though he's never been knocked out and been knocked down far less than, for example, Fury who many consider iron). It just gets silly.

If he'd won easily, which he most likely would have, the excuses would just have come out in a different direction.

Bakole's only beaten a couple of iffy gatekeepers in Yoka and ancient Takam; Kabayel's only beaten a few hypejobs and a poor version of Chisora; Zhang's record against the top-200 is paper thin... Etc etc.

I can't stand Joshua as an individual, but I also can't stand the double standards and the way unproven fighters get hyped way beyond their station whilst one of the few genuinely proven guys gets trashed, it's clownworld stuff

Fury fans behind this rubbish of a thread, you guys should pray hard fury won't lose to the gap toothed middleweight midget again.

Fury is rated #1, there's no thread about him being a fraud whilst he lost to Usyk and Ngannou. He is feather fisted with 80% boring, hugfest, wrestling matches. Despite him being considerably the bigger guy with the better athletic gene in the boxing world, he gets knocked down all the time by middle weights.

    It's the manner of victories.

Also H2H is taken into account, not just resume and the number and names in the W column.

The thing is with Joshua is he's still in his prime whereas everyone else in the division who possibly could have beaten him is clearly over the hill at this point. So head to head you'd probably pick him over everyone in the division except Usyk (and that's certainly getting closer).

Having said that he's the kind of guy who'll eventually come a cropper against somebody like Dubois, Kabayel, Bakoke etc. He's a better boxer than all of them but he's chinny and he's not a fighter who relishes a scrap.

I'm not sure why this member is getting as much stick as this. He makes a fair point. Others have had much better wins.

The problem with alot of these debates is that people get emotionally involved

As it stands, Usyk is the champion
Number 1 and 2 I think can be quite debatable imo between Fury and Joshua
I see alot of people point to Joshua's last 4 fights or so over the last 2 years.
In that same period Fury has fought Usyk, Ngannou and Chisora.
Would the same people make the same comments about Fury?
It's not all always all about the last fight but also about collective wins and timespans.
Joshua's next fight is another top 10 rated HW, and he has fought several throughout his career in title fights
I'm not a fan but can't fathom how anyone could call him a fraud.

I think Fury and Joshua have both been fantastic HWs and could make a case for either being #1 after Usyk

Joshua brings viewership and money, that's a fact, whether you like him or not he will always be highly ranked and watched...

I’m not a Joshua fan but nobody can call him a fraud, simply speaking only Usyk and possibly Fury’s resume is better in the Heavyweight division. Every fighters resume can be picked and pulled apart to suit anybody’s own view that they prefer it to be. The only legit stuff that Joshua could be pulled on was the A side B side bs which no longer seems to be the case and also his reluctance to fight outside of the UK but again he now fights in Dubai with the rest of the fighters chasing the big money . There was also the ReMatchroom contracts where a fighter only got the Joshua fight if they agreed to an immediate rematch, not so sure if this is still valid either tbh.Joshua next fights Dubois coming off the back of two big wins just like Parker and Kabayel and nobody can deny the current momentum with these three fighters .
