I think the fact that Joshua literally signed contracts to fight Fury in 2021 and Wilder in 2024 is not being discussed enough. Not his fault that the opponents didn't deliver.

If you're a fan of the guy who faced Chisora and Ngannou while running from Usyk, you have no standing to critisise any other HW today.

So this is of course coping with how far your hero has fallen. But relax, he might still be gifted a win over Usyk in December. :)

So what better alternates do you mean Joshua could have gotten on so short notice? Names or shut up.

I think Efe Ajagba is waiting to be found out as well. Got hype for his loss to Frank Sanchez who I never rated that highly.

He'll be flattened vs a solid heavyweight.

Fair enough, but it still a meaningless win and a poor performance, he was right to switch from James to Davidson.

Matchroom have certainly made the most out of a fighter who doesn't have top 5 talent.

I'm not a fan of Joshua but simply struggle with why anyone would call him a fraud
    Currently

He has had more fights against consensus top 10 HWs than anyone else (except Chisora I think)

More wins against consensus top 10 HWs than anyone else

More HW unification fights than anyone else

In the consensus top 10, has had more HW title fights than anyone else

People seem to jump on his last 4 fights rather than talk of the timescale and circumstances

Since August 2022, Joshua has fought Usyk, Franklin, Helenius, Wallin, Ngannou
Joshua is not holding or defending a title

Since August 2022, Fury has fought Chisora, Ngannou and Usyk and he was a defending champion

I don't think Joshua has fought worse competition than Fury in that time

Fury fans critisising Joshua for facing Ngannou is about as absurd as it gets, and that is saying something.

I'd rate Chisora over the last 4 AJ has beaten tbh, and Fury holds a slightly better (albeit losing) performance over Usyk despite nearly being waved off in the 9th.

I don't think AJ is a fraud perse, but he's definitely being carefully managed at the moment and it shows.

    That's fair enough
I'm not sure of the relevance of that and not sure I agree. Having watched Fury against Ngannou, I am not sure I would have picked Chisora to beat him and would likely have picked Wallin on points

Possibly. It was an older version of Usyk who hasn't been overly active for a few years
I guess it is how you view it.
I felt Joshua 2 fight was as equal a performance than the Fury fight respectively but would say I felt Fury won three consecutive rounds which gave the impression he was going to take over for a while

He may be, as he is being built back after a loss. Nothing too unusual about that, but don't think that is the story of his career as In his 19th fight he was facing the #1 rated HW
Even then, I am not sure.
He had a tune up after a loss against Franklin but Helenius was a late substitute opponent and many felt the Ngannou fight was a dangerous fight and that Wallin could be tricky.
Whyte was still top 10 rated when he was supposed to fight him, Wallin was top 10 rated and Ngannou had just pushed the WBC champion in a tough competitive fight where although losing looked the stronger

    Edit
Also to be fair, his next opponent is highly rated and coming off a good win
