If Ruiz could drop him, his chin wasn't that good as in his early days until the mid 90s.

Gene “Lights Out” Toney was one hell of a fighter.

Quite the literary man too.

Loved his book A Man must EAT.

 

He really fell off the wagon after he split a series with Harry Greg, though I don't think Toney was prime by then, his belly button was beginning to close from punches sustained over his career.
