Tunney feels more like a LaStarza to me. A better version, but not hugely better. I think LaStarza has become somewhat underrated.

Washed up Walcott?...Have you ever watched the fight? Doubt it...

I agree with the first part but I think LaStarza is rated correctly as something of a hype job leveraging his performance in the first Marciano fight for his entire career. Rather I think that it is Tunney who is overrated, at heavyweight at the very least. Paper-thin resume in the division bolstered by some name fighters in their final, or close to final, fight. Head to head, I don't think he was any better than old Walcott.

I already conceded he got up for the fight, certainly…but mount a case he was in his prime, if you dare.

This is tough choice whomever I pick to lose I feel like I’m selling them short. But I have to pick Gene for the win here, he was very fast and used his legs a lot. Think he has a little too much speed for the rock. Tunney was the type that could stick to his game plan too.

Marciano is a somewhat live dog, but it's Tunney's fight to lose in my book. Such a wonderful fighter. One of the best to ever lace them. And if anything can prepare you for Marciano, then its definitely 65 or so rounds against Harry Greb.

Marciano mid-late rounds between 6 and 10 rounds by KO.

The idea that Tunney tires out and gets worn down in 6 rounds is laughable

Except Marciano hit about twenty times harder than Harry.

    How so?
He was tired and lost against Harry Greb, and you're trying to tell me that he beats Marciano...laughable.

Of course. Greb is light years ahead of Marciano as a fighter, but you don't even need to go there. Prime Rocky is about as quick as a past it Dempsey and Tunney was comfortably outboxing him.

You’re acting as if there isn’t a good chance Greb boxes circles around Marciano as well

Yeah, Greb would box circles in coma after 3 rounds with Marciano.
