I hate it but I don't blame him. The smart thing to do is wait for Ennis to be too big for welterweight (aka duck) because Ennis would demolish him and the entirety of 147. They’re definitely thinking long term here. Brian doesn’t seem like he’ll move up well and will probably try to be the top dog at 147. He knows he can’t do that with Ennis around.
