But only if you disregard Chisora, Usyk doesn’t really catch punches flush he takes glancing shots or rides them, but he does definitely have one of the best jaws in the division, but he’s probably taken the least amount of heavy shots of all of them.

I've always praised and rated Chisora's mandibular fortitude very highly. Even when people cite him being KO'd by Haye and Whyte I tell them they need to factor in the level of his opposition and his ultra aggressive fighting style. According to Dave Allen, Chisora is a lot better defensively than people realize he is.

Whilst Usyk has excellent defence, he's never been dropped by a headshot amateur or pro in over 370 fights and he's fought a murderer's row of punchers amateur/WSB and pro and he's fought a whole bunch of the biggest punchers in the sport, and I mean P4P biggest too not just literally the biggest

Running a gauntlet of all these punchers without ever being dropped by a headshot is insane

Doing it in their backyards for almost all the ones he fought as a pro even more so

    AJ
    Dubois
    Chisora
    Belly
    Gassiev
    Briedis
    Glowacki
    Bellew
    Huck
    Hunter

    Majidov
    Nistor
    Big Joe

And tons in the amateurs too, most notably Beterbiev x 3

I appreciate that Fury is both awkward, and deceptively functionally strong, but I’m surprised anyone genuinely thinks he’s the strongest.

If Fury had acceptably low body fat for an elite athlete he’d be about 240lb of chicken legged skinny-fatness. As it is he just has a lot of blubber on that gangly frame with no muscle mass.

You’d think someone like AJ would be more ‘gym strong’ and guys like Zhang or Joyce would be more ‘naturally strong’ because they’re naturally heavier, thicker set, well-proportioned guys.

Big Bang Zhang is the hardest puncher right now. Absolute savage power and knocks people down with grazing shots.

AJ was catching Usyk easily in the 9th and isn`t really a boxer, he`s just a powerful striker, Fury was dominating Usyk and landing at will the couple of rounds leading up to when Usyk caught him.

Ngannou`s punches didn`t have the same effect on AJ as they had on MMA fighters because you don`t need a good chin in the UFC, you can hide a weak chin from longe range with kicks etc. On average a UFC takes less punches than a world champion boxer would.

No he wasn't. Usyk was blocking and slipping most of AJ's shots during that brief moment of sustained success AJ had in 24 rounds of boxing and that only came about because he pounced on Usyk as he was trying to regroup after pushing the back of his neck/head down and rabbit punching him x 2 in the back of the mind

Belly was not dominating Usyk. He had a few good rounds from 4-6 which he won and that was against a Usyk who stood right in front of him and was walking him down instead of boxing and moving and being elusive. Hence Usyk telling him this beforehand ''I won't leave you alone.''

Fury has been knocked down twice by cruisers and once by that guy with 6 knockouts (whose name alludes me) so Jaw can't be Fury.

What is more, Usyk has never been down, so...

Fury is a drug cheat so we shouldn’t even be talking about him but he has took some shots that would fold most, usyk has been down he was dropped with a body shot by Dubois.
Usyk definitely has a solid jaw on him but he doesn’t get caught flat very often so his jaw hasn’t been tested as much as the rest on the list.
I haven’t seen every fight from every fighter I have listed here so I’m not vested in my choices, it’s just the way I see it.
Usyk is that talented that his jaw doesn’t get questioned, iam not neglecting his ability to take a shot by not ranking him here, it’s probably the opposite if anything, his chin is never on display and when he gets tagged he either smothers the shot, is on the back foot, is pivoting off the front foot and always turning away from the shot.
Hope this clears things up a bit

Usyk was not down, and a body shot is not the "jaw."

I’m aware of that you said he had never been down, I was just reminding you that he had.
