Well they fought twice and Bonecrusher won both times. If we take mike Weaver of the late 70s- early 80’s then Hercules might have had a better chance. Not sure if I’d favor him though

Lyle could stop him in 2, or it could take him up until 8, or he might not be able to knock him out at all. It really all depends on how active Mike is. Generally though, I go with Lyle KO 2-8.

Bump because it’s a relatively 50/50 matchup, favour Weaver as he had more boxing ability to go with it.

I think that if this is a pre-durability decline Weaver (Pre Tony Anthony rabbit shot), then he takes it quite easily. Mike showed that he could go blow for blow with good sluggers during his matchup with Coetzee, and Lyle simply doesn't have anything about his style that could make him tricky to fight. Add on to that fact that Weaver was a much better boxer than him, and Mike will win easily.

I'm not sure. Both had enough power to stop the other and they were similar caliber of fighters.

I'd take 80-82 Weaver to beat Holmes in a rematch, so I would obviously say Weaver wins this one. But not without struggle enough that it could be one of the great fights of memory. Lyle would not be going anywhere easily.

Well in that case Weaver vs Lyle would probably be a pretty good action fight. Two guys with a lot of heart who could both punch.

I lean toward Weaver. This might be surprisingly placid at times as both could lay back a bit too much at times. I think i'd favor Weaver but wouldn't be putting my house on it.

Eh, Tate was beating the tar out of him for 14 rounds. The dude gassed out while treating Weaver like a moving heavy bag, after which point, Weaver returned the favor and put him out with a good left hook, but the knockout itself had as much to do with Tate being completely gassed out as it had to do with the left hook Weaver landed on him.
Maybe Weaver is the better bet but it's not exactly super safe.

I do think that the Tate beating was a bit exaggerated, he was getting the best of most exchanges pretty handily, but he also was jabbing well and took a couple rounds off of John's platter. It was also less of Tate tiring out, and more of him letting his guard down, he had the fight in the bag, but he didn't keep his right up and he got shattered. John had the win as long as he didn't get lazy, but he did just that.
