They wern't this is true but Wilder did seem incredibly flat vs Parker for whatever reason maybe the inactivity or he aged over night ? I really don't know. He was the same vs Zhang aswell very cautious and never threw a right hand in anger.

But then again Wilder has never beaten a fighter with a chin as good as Parker's with his overall skill set.

Ortiz was skillful but also a bit chinny.

 

Apart from Wladimir who was 40+ Joshua hasn't fought any punchers on the same level as Ruddock, Bruno, they were KO artists.

 

1. Whyte was still worse than Joyce is now.
2. He never actually signed to fight Wilder, and still could have despite the loss. He chose not to.

He fought who he fought.

 

He was just an amateur, he`s far better now, their amateur bout was crap, three round amateur matches are pretty bad, you improve as a pro.

 

Bruno was more limted than AJ who would be too fast for Frank.

 

It's a bit of a stretch if you need to go digging in amature fights to prove a point. Zhang would give AJ nightmares with that left hand.

 

I’ve long said regardless of what happens in their next few fights we will get AJ vs Fury and I expect AJ to knock Fury out.

Fury Turned down fighting Joshua to fight Chisora for a third time. Serously remember the " Deadline he gave Joshua yet had no problem not giving Chisora a deadline for the same fight date.

Wilder A hype job with no boxing ability very carefully matched and spent years ducking Joshua ( Turning down by far the biggest purse of his career ) Wilder also ducked anybody with a pulse his best win is an old nobody Ortiz literally his signature win in 48 fights.

Zhang AJ beat him in the Amateurs and Zhang was not top ten until very recently would of received even less credit then knocking out Wallin when the fight happened.

Bakole recency bias on your part? what cracked the top ten for the first time this month Wallin was higher ranked and regarded then Bakole.

Ortiz A gatekeeper with no good wins and one average win in Jennings, at best an old man hyped up by Haymon as some kind of monster even though as a pro and amateur he never really achieved anything almost lost to Charles Martin FFS.

Joyce Seriously overrated would of looked a lot like Nagannou unable to get out of the way of a punch just there to be Ko'd

Chisora the guy has literally been a gatekeeper for over a decade and has double digit losses why exactly should he of fought Chisora?

Kabayel Best win is against gatekeeper Chisora, has never done anything of note.

 

Ruiz was ranked in the top ten when he fought Joshua, Bakole until very recently was not ranked and would not of been when any of those fights took place. Chisora was not prime in 2017 he already had 7 losses when he fought Kabayel, on the Kabayel until almost 2024 he was fighting poor competition and did not deserve it. Joyce and Ortiz are fringe opponents with serious flaws just like Helenius and Franklin.

Maybe if you broke your lips off AJs knob you'd be a bit more objective about his lackluster performance of late.

 

AJ made an utter cringey fool of himself in his worst moments, but this next fight vs DuBois (who also is overcoming a couple of bad moments) should be worth watching and I can't work up a good head of disgust for either dude. May the best man win and may they both conduct themselves as gentlemen in the fight and it's aftermath.
