I strongly disagree with the Whyte part. You have no way of knowing just where Whyte stood at the time, but we clearly see how bad Joyce is now. Ffs, he lost to Chisora.

The Wilder fight was the Saudi´s doing. Joshua was going to fight Wilder but then Saudi´s asked for the Ngannou fight.
Also, hear confirmed that the Wilder fight had been signed. Take his word with a grain of salt tho.

That's an interesting conspiracy theory you got there.

Whyte is clearly shot as a fighter. I'd happily put big money on Joyce to smash him if they fought tomorrow.

I'd take a bucket of salt. Wilder was vocal about taking the AJ fight despite the loss where AJ was silent.

I agree except that Joyce has a far better chin than Whyte.

AJ did as told. The Saudis wanted the Ngannou fight.
AJ has always been a company man and he pretty much does as told, especially when there is tons of money on the line. And lets face it, you would have been highly critical of that fight too.

All fighters do what their promoters tell them to and follow the money.

I would have respected the fight finally been made. I was very vocal among others at the time that it was a wasted opportunity having them on the same card and not fighting.

Not precisely. Plenty of fighters walk away from their promoters because they disagree with the path taken. And often we hear big names clash with their own promoters.
I still remember Canelo demanding a fight with Trout and Oscar being vocally against it. Heck, same thing with Lara. For one example.
Manny turned down a solid payday because Bob wanted him on a Crawford undercard.

Canelo ducked GGG for years and is now ducking Benavidez for easy pay days v inferior fighters.

Jesus ****, that was not the point. I swear, you read "Canelo" and just see red and go on some tangent. Every, ****ing, time.
    It was just an example.

I'm sure AJ can bribe Cunningham out of retirement.

There's nothing dishonest about an undefeated Kabayel being a better opponent than Franklin and Helenius because that's just what he was a better opponent. Kabayel has been relevant since 2017, Bakole since 2022.

I rate Chisora a better win than anything Wallin or Franklin have, let alone Ngannou who has never won a pro fight. If that doesn't make Kabayel relevant than Wallin, Franklin, and Ngannou WERE NEVER RELEVANT

Going into Joshua's fight with Wallin, Zhang had just ko'd Joyce 2x who was coming of kayos of Parker and Dubois while Wallin had decisioned a Gassiev who hasn't done anything of note at heavyweight and hadn't scored a good win in 5 years. Zhang was clearly more highly regarded at the time and viewed as the more dangerous fight.
