Watch it again. The entire round was Fury constantly spearing Usyk with the jab and the occasional right hand, Usyk landed one right hand of note so I gave the round a generous draw.
I don't need to watch it again i've seen the fight twice Fury had a 4-2 lead after 6 rounds, Usyk dug deep and won a tough 7th round and then controlled the fight from then on. As i said it's reaching to not have Usyk winning a single round in the first 6 rounds.
I don't know what you're talking about you made a topic i gave my opinion and disagreed with your scoring in the first half of the fight that's all there is no attitude.
That's your opinion. The judges themselves had nothing in it, one even picking Fury. If you think that's a reach I don't know what to say because I literally watched Fury jabbing Usyk's head off and Usyk hitting thin air during those rounds. Your opinion is not fact, neither is mine, I was simply stating Fury did better than the general public made out. Even the judges back that up.
You accused me of being a Fury hater because i had a different opinion to yours even though i had Fury ahead 4-2 after 6 rounds so i can't be that much of hater. Yes one judge had Fury winning just like one judge had Holyfield beating Lewis in their 1st meeting and countless other bad scorecards throughout history. As for the general public ? I think most boxing fans saw it as a competitive fight but it was a competitive fight Usyk clearly won which is a fair reflection of the fight. A fight can be competitive but still have a clear winner and Usyk did clearly win.
@G Man Apologizes if i appear passive aggressive that's not my intention i had bit of crappy day today my car broke down so yeah my mood is a bit mehh.
It can be frustrating but just try to remember, its better than your body breaking down, or the car itself breaking down when you are in the middle of nowhere, or something. I mean, I am not saying this with elegance, but try to remember that it could be worse.
Had 3rd round for Fury but exactly the same as this otherwise. It was close before round 9, then Usyk battered him around the ring and pulled away on the cards after that.
I am a little mystified by giving rouns 2 to Fury. Usyk landed a huge 1-2 at the beginning of this round. Usyk was more aggressive and landed the harder cleaner shots. Same thing in round 1. Usyk was landing by far the harder cleaner shots. I think a lot of people are bamboozled by Fury's showboating, punching himself, acting like Usyk's left's weren't hurting him. I can see people giving rounds 3-6 to Fury but even round 3 was a swing round that could be scored either way. Round 7 was also a swing round that could be scored either way. Rounds 8,9 and 10 are not debatable. I also thought Usyk did the better work in rounds 11 and 12. But i could see people giving 12 to Fury since it was a relatively close round. If i am being very generous, i can give Fury rounds 3-7 and 12. That would make it 6-6, so 114-113 Usyk with the knockdown. But that is being highly generous. I don't see how anyone could score the first 2 rounds for Fury. The showboating and lack of effective shots landed doesn't sway me.
8-4 Usyk, 7-5 + KD if you want to be generous to Belly Worst case for Usyk after 3 rounds is 2-1 to him
I had Usyk winning the first 3 rounds having watched them multiple times I think the reasons people score those rounds for Fury are a combination of (a) giving him credit for clowning and (b) giving him excessive credit for each landed punch because he’s presumed to be the harder puncher. It was very apparent that there were patches of the fight where Usyk was coming forward, stalking, and peppering Fury with a number of punches while Fury was mostly on the back foot, avoiding some punches, getting hit by some, and occasionally landing a counter. These are stretches of the fight I believe Usyk clearly won which I believe some people perceive as being won by Fury.
People like to defend their prediction that Usyk was going to destroy him, so make out it was an easy fight for Usyk. Usyk himself said it was his hardest fight. Who else has ever outboxed Usyk for a stretch? Fury's meathead father drowning out sugar hill makes no difference as nothing remotely sensible would have been said by hill, the trainer who told Fury they'd just land a big RH on the mma fighter and go home. It's actually better random meatheads drown out Fury's trainer as Fury might just follow his own instincts in a fight and do better. Usyk has an significant trainer/team advantage over Fury which alone will make it hard for Fury to win the rematch. Fury is fighting on ability alone here, he is clearly getting zero useful strategic/tactical help from the team of misfits around him. And then when you consider how clever Usyk is as a boxer, it just makes it worse.
