Can Foster finally get a decent win at heavyweight?
    Who wins this matchup?

Not sure how decent Layne is but he provides more openings than a Sunday hooker, so Foster would land and it would not be a pretty ending for Rex, who would be valiantly trying to hang on to his senses.

I'd expect Foster's struggles outside of 175 to continue. I'd favor Layne to mug him to either a dec or late stoppage.

Bob did better when he stayed in his own… Layne (sorry) he hit a ceiling when it came to his frame he’d be a 168lber today maybe even 160lbs.

If Sugar Roy Jones got a hold of him he’d been in the morgue next to anyone else before the 60s.

I think you are exaggerating a bit.

You just sympathise with the old timers because you’re era bias - Modern Athletes like Maske, Jones, Mayorga would kill part timers like Layne.

I don't know anything about Layne other than that Marciano KO'd him but he should beat Bob handily. Bob just couldn't handle the bigger guys.

Then Foster would probably fight at 140.

Foster looks very thin and skinny in his LHW fights. Surely could have put on 15 pounds of muscle with proper eating habits.

No quicks, no strength, no hops, no fast twitch, bad 40... Good chin.

Takes a beating. Mercy stoppage by Red or corner.

I love Bob Foster to death as a fighter and he's an ATG in his realm, but he's one LHW who should never have ventured outside his lane. God just didn't give him the tools to be a heavyweight.

No athleticism. No quicks. Fine for the Mayberry but not against real athletes.
