So if William s had being given the decision over Larry Holmes (it was a close run thing), then defended against Spinks...?

How long do you think Williams holds on to the lineal title?

 

Till the rematch? Or someone who wants it more? Not much separates him and other top guys of the era. Tyson comes for his skull in one or two years at most? Does he fight Weaver again?

 

I have no idea who would win between Spinks and Williams. Williams had big dimensions, a great jab, good handspeed and quite a good right hand. Spinks didn't show one punch power at heavyweight so there's a big chance he might not be able to take advantage of Carl's biggest drawback. Williams might start favorite here.

 

With Carl's chin id avoid Weaver. Better a rematch with Larry maybe?

 

I'd actually give Carl a good chance against Spinks.
Spinks took advantage of Larry's age, his slowing down, he'd find Williams jab to much imo and lose a decision.
