Tank is borderline top ten and has never once fought the best fighter in any division.

Inoue is a lock for top 3 and has completely unified 2 divisions already, as well as knocking out the number 1 SFLW in the world.

It's easy to forget how good Fulton really is. Completely outboxed Daniel Roman (who gave MJ a really tough fight), and also beat Brandon Figueroa and Angelo Leo at their own game, both who would end up becoming champions at 126 later on. Inoue's victory over Fulton is held in high regard for good reasons.

I do think Inoue should still take on MJ before moving up since MJ is a high caliber fighter at 122 who can give Inoue a good fight. A win over MJ in impressive fashion would enhance Inoue's resume and solidify why he's considered one of the best right now.

Fulton has a better resume than Gervonta.

    Roman is MJ’s leftovers
Angelo Leo hasn’t beaten anyone good, title or not.
Figueroa is okay, but beating him narrowly just shows that Fulton was never a pfp level guy.

Like most things Inoue, it requires mental gymnastics to make his resume seem elite.

Roman hadn’t declined whatsoever between the MJ and Fulton fights. MJ barely edged him out, Fulton won easily.

Figueroa is hands down better than anyone on Tank’s resume P4P

Leo knocked out the most established champion in the 3rd or 4th deepest division right now, trying to pretend he hasn’t beat anyone is the definition of mental gymnastics. Who the **** has anyone on Tank’s resume beaten then?

Leftover? MJ barely eeked out a win against when he fought him. Roman was still highly regarded and many expected the fight with Fulton to be close and competitive. Instead Fulton shut down Roman, something no one else was able to do.

Leo just KO'd Luis Alberto Lopez to oblivion who was one of the top guys at 126.

Brandon Figueroa, crude as his style can be, is still a formidable fighter. The fact that Fulton fought him up close and still won speaks volume.

You can say the same thing about Tank.

The guy who Leo beat hadn’t done much except beat a washed Warrington and a flimsy hypejob in Conlan. Overrated.

Fig has never been that good h2h. That’s why he had a draw w Ceja (ancient Rigondeaux’s leftovers). Tank beats guys with no loses or draws.

Roman didn’t actually come that close to beating MJ and he’s fairly limited. Nothing dynamic there, just a guy who can beat some fringe guys and get 8-4’d by anyone decent.

Tank’s competition passes the eye test in a way that the Emmanuel Rodriguez’s of the world never will. And Fulton has been exposed, much to the dismay of this forum.

Well at least Inoue doesn't have the Rolly's of the world on his resume.

Who are you referring to with that eye test comment, Barrios or somebody silly like that? Because Rodriguez is more skilled than anybody Tank has fought, don’t see how that’s even a bit controversial to you either

Then again, you think MJ beat Tapales so I doubt you really have much clue what your eyes are seeing

Rolly isn’t the backbone of Tank’s resume. Guys like Barrios and Pitbull panned out. So far Rolly hasn’t.

Idk why you’re so in your feelings over Rodriguez. The guy is feather fisted and will never beat a top fighter.

A guy like Ghost is actually a real talent and will make some noise if he stays focused. Barrios is a full sized 147 champ btw.

I don't think having guys like Barrios, Cruz, or Martin as top wins on the resume is something to write home about.

I’m not in my feelings. It’s just a matter of fact that Rodriguez does more advanced things and is fundamentally better than anybody Tank has fought. When have you ever seen Tank fight somebody that knows how to utilise an active guard or knows how to layer and set up their offense in the variety of ways Rodriguez does?

Martin is an athletic guy with good fundamentals, he’s by far the best fighter Tank has fought imo. But he is severely lacking in terms of ring IQ which results in him being inefficient in his movements (wasting stamina, leaving himself out of position/needing to reset etc), predictable in his offensive and defensive patterns and him also just not recognising or taking advantage of advantageous situations- he’s the type of guy who will get himself into the ideal position to land a specific punch and then just not bother throwing it. He also has beaten absolutely ****ing nobody. If he improves he can probably be a champion but now that his chin has been cracked I wouldn’t bet on it unless he gets the kind of easy match making that other Tank opponents (Rolly, Pitbull, Barrios) have been getting.

Barrios? Come on let’s be real, he’s the worst champion around today and Tank still didn’t even fight him at full strength. Did you miss the fights with shot Ugas and Maidanas brother (who not long before an 8-4 fighter beat even more clearly than Barrios could) and how much he struggled? I mean you’re seriously hyping up the guy who Thurman 12-0d after sitting on his couch for 3 years as some marquee win.

I literally like Tank and I think he KO’s everybody from 135-140 but as of right now he’s not even close to Inoues level of resume, and skillset wise he will never be on Inoues level unless he somehow drastically improves in his 30s. So at least until Tank actually starts doing noteworthy things can we just stop this silly debate?

And for the record Martin and Rodriguez are the same level of puncher P4P, neither are featherfists that’s just hyperbole.

Angelo Leo beat Luis Alberto Lopez, who many considered the top guy at 126. Has Tank beat anyone considered the top guy in their division?
