Quite possibly, but if Ingo lands his bingo, it will be Zora's folly! Folley's chin was definitely suspect, IMO.
I agree. Folley was brutally knocked out by Liston. No shame in that whatsoever. Problem is he was also knocked out by the likes of Doug Jones and the obscure Lavorante. That right hand WILL connect at some point and it won't be pretty.
Two cautious guys who have the ability to knock each other out with right hands. I think caution takes front and center. It goes to decision. Ingo possesses the harder right hand punch but Folley has the better left jab. This is a pick-'em fight. Either one can prevail. If Ingemar trains hard he wins. If he's ordering chocolate eclairs and chasing poon every night, I favor Folley.
Yeah I am not totally comfortable with picking him, I just as I’ve stated here have a lot of respect for late ‘50s Folley as a boxer. I looked up the details on the Jones (Folley had already beaten him on points) and Lavorante fights and Folley was in control of both of them until he got popped and folded up like a card table.
Very much a fight on which reasonable minds can disagree. Nevertheless, to see a post in this forum go unLiked by you, is a betrayal. What do you have to say for yourself?
Zora wasn't the most durable fellow. The problem with Ingo is that we just don't have a deep sample size against elite opponents. Still, I have a hunch he would find a home for that right. He wasn't just a stiff slob with one punch. He was quite light on his feet when in shape and good at circling and finding the angle he wanted. Zora wasn't the most dynamic guy so I feel like Ingo would have the time to find the opening he wanted.
If he beats Folley easier than your hero Liston , you would claim how Folley in his late 20s was past prime or too green with more than 35 pro fights?
