lol I was referring to Rocky Jim who’s been on this site here for almost 20 years. I don’t think boxing fool’s even been alive for 20 years.
You haven’t proven anything Boxing Fool - except that you likely check under your bed every night to make sure The Big Ugly Bear isn’t there. For being such a liar, Sonny’s coming to get you Boxing Fool and put you where you belong - in a trash can!
First, cheers for linking that clip - great stuff. I don’t know if I’d say flip flopped exactly but it’s possible. After the fact of Miami, Ali never strenuously pursued the blinding claim - if at all, save for the clip you linked. I’ve read a quote elsewhere in which Ali described Liston as honest. Perhaps Ali always held his own suspicions quietly but he didn’t commit those suspicions to his 1975 auto bio. In the clip, he related the anecdote omitting much needed details - too bad the interviewer didn’t bother to ask him the burning (excuse pun) questions.
I did provide evidence and facts and I even provided Ali interview where he said who was the man in the Liston corner who blinded him, a famous mafioso. Only trash can is reserved for Liston clueless crazy nutthugers like you moron...have a nice day.
Yeah so honest that worked for the mob and cheated against opponents... a saint...no wonder why Liston fans exceeded Tyson fans in terms of stupidity and fanboying. One logical question, how could substance blind someones opponents if substance was made for boxing? YEAH, boxing industry make things that would make their fighters blind in the middle of the fight. Ali said Liston blinded him, met the man and the mafioso who blinded him...case close moron and stupid fanboy.
Boxing fool was amazed that ALi even met the man who blinded him and that was in the Listons corner...yeah, your hero blinded Ali on purpose..congratulations.
Well, there was round 9 when Machen came out with a cane and guide dog but besides that I saw no apparent issues. Seriously, I’ve seen no issues with Machen during the fight - and I don’t believe anyone else has been able to point to same.
Just to be sure I've understood this version of the story - who exactly was the "famous mafioso" who was in Liston's corner?
As we all know, Cranky Franky was enlisted to take photos at the FOTC. Just a subterfuge. He was there of course to slip Ali the old glove juice (cleverly hidden in Frank’s camera bag) if he needed it. Come to think of it, wasn’t Frazier blinking a lot during round 9 or was that just due to Ali’s punches?
