He was saying Daniel cracked him with a good shot for weeks. You can take revenge for anything tbh.

And he didn’t even have the manners to give a reach around. That’s why he’s so mad.

I'm rooting for Dubois because he's a good young man with a good heart and he deserves to win after being disparaged and claiming he has no chance against Joshua.

If what Woodhall et al say about Dan's jab is true, AJ might go into a shell if he eats a few. I really think Dubois is being underestimated here. He can box well from a decent guard, his footwork is very good, he doesn't swarm, is patient and is very heavy handed. Many are saying Dubois is made for AJ, and sure, I cam see that, but could AJ be made for Dubois similarly. He WILL apply pressure, he can bang to the body and the head and he has improved, is improving, immeasurably. I doubt we will see the same Dubois that fought Hrgovic; if he is that naive he fully deserves the trip to the land of nod that surely awaits him. I really don't think we should underestimate that despite the (retrospectively?) assumed knowledge that Miller and Hrgovic were overrated etc, they both tried to take his head off, tried to win. Dubois is 'battle hardened', AJ simply isn't. His last opponents have been timid, weak, not in the same league. Big Dan has won two back to back that he was favourite to lose. I can see an upset tomorrow.

Many posters to this forum seem to think this but this fight definitely isn't a mismatch on paper.

    • Dubois's last two wins are better than any of AJ's last four wins. IMO. There are arguments to be made for beating Wallin and Ngannu but I think on balance Miller and Hrgo were bigger tests particularly given their performances against Zhang and Ruiz.
    • Both men were well beaten by Usyk but only Dubois managed to hurt him (albeit it was a low blow) and Dubois was the B-side in that fight, in front of an extremely hostile crowd, whereas AJ had every advantage in his meetings with Usyk.
    • Seemingly confirmed rumours that Dubois has sparked-out AJ in sparring while both men were amateurs. Which will still have a strong psychological bearing on the fight even if both men are much more experienced and more developed physically now.
    • Dubois seems like he may be increasingly tough which introduces an element of the unknown.
    • Ngannu aside when was the last big puncher AJ was in the ring with? Povetkin? Another element of uncertainty.

Having picked against him several times in recent years due to my doubts over AJ's mental resilience, I'm actually picking AJ to win this one on balance. I think he's too smart and too displined to get drawn into a slugging match, I think Dubois's overall defence is poor, and I think DDD lacks the footwork to overcome AJ's longer reach and superior footwork.

    But it ain't a mismatch.

It's a tough test for AJ, he should win and gun-to-my head I'd say by 7th round stoppage, but Dubois will want this and I expect he'll get in the trenches and be prepared to fight hard. He has a lot of power and can deliver it - he could KO AJ early and no one should be overly surprised.

In fact let's be real, the narrative after the fight if Dubois scores a Rd 3 KO will be "AJ has a glass mandible, can't take a shot from an elite level puncher, he's ducked punchers like Wilder and Zhang and [poster's favourite fighter] for over a decade and now we can see why, we all saw this coming..." blah blah blah.

AJ wins via brutal KO in this one, or gets Dubois to quit again.

I have it down as a 7th round TKO.

Dubois gets dropped multiple times and ends up quitting after another knock down in the 7th.

His habit of leaning his head down into punches is going to get punished.
