Roach would be a letdown by even Tank’s standards

Not too excited for this. Most likely see a highlight reel KO for Tank.

 Another PPV that sells 200k, brilliant.

At least it would be his second fight of the year, which would be something. I still can´t believe he took a year off after the Garcia fight, but at least he fought someone good in Frank Martin.

Will Tank ever fight anybody that the fans want him to fight?

Tank and team seem content at coasting in his lane as a relatively big name in boxing and hoping that carries them as far as possible with mediocre competition, instead of actually trying to become a bona fide sports star, let alone fighting at all for any kind of actual legacy.

    Dissapointing to say the least.

Fighters forget, that Pac and Mayweather became superstars because they actually fought and beat other prominent fighters, which in turn made them bigger, and bigger.

Fighters today think they can become superstars by just going undefeated against a bunch of completely overmatched or unknown opposition.

But, unfortunately, it likely doenst matter. Theyre getting paid so much it doesnt even make sense to raise their game. They will make millions either way.

Loma a natural 130 pounder, even though he was undersized moved up to 135 to challenge himself against much bigger, far more dangerous heavy handed opponents.

Tank was forced to move up, because he ate his way out of 130, but is so afraid of challenging himself, he's been dragging up undersized featherfisted 126 and 130 pounder non-threats ever since.

The problem is, it works - too many fans not only let them get away with it, but actively praise them for it and talk up their mediocre opponents as if they were good.

It worked just fine for Wilder, for example, and it's working just fine for Tank, too.

But until boxing fans as a whole can stand together obvious truths, it's not going to change.

What's proven is real, what's claimed without proof is hype.
And resume is the only real proof.

As much as I hate to say this, my dude the problem is not that fighters today "think" they can become superstars that way - the problem is they ****ing well "can" become highly regarded, hyped and rich that way.

They won't become true greats that way, but they won't care.

    Bingo.

One can only hope that the frauds lose - and then have to desperately attempt the real big step up that can save their relevance... And that, just like Wilder, that step up laughs them off like the frauds they are.

Or draining bigger guys and using rehydration clauses to make sure they stay drained.

Either way, if they're remotely dangerous that playing field will be heavily tilted.
