Good fight. Bazinyan gave everything he had. Thought he was gonna get stopped earlier. He took some nasty body shots by the middle rounmds which really opened up the head shots for Munguia. Came down to body work though and Munguia physicality and athleticism were too much in the end. Bazinyan had to keep him off him with the jab like he was early in the fight but just jabbing isnt a viable strat at this level if you're not following up or building on them. From then when Munguia got around the jab it was always Bazinyan defending and having to land return shots to stop pressure but he was getting broken down.

Mark Kriegel has got to be the worst analyst in boxing.

 

Beterbiev seems like a horrible training partner to have lol. With headgear you'll still get damaged bad and probably walk into your scheduled fight compromised. There are better technical options for sparring than Biev too.

 

I believe in Kriegel that he can always go lower

 

And I don't think the loss will affect him too negatively, mentally either.

He's the type to simply dust off and get back on with it

 

Munguia did ten times better than Berlanga against Alvarez.
