They disrespected Dubois because they may have gotten the better of him in sparring at one point when he was essentially a kid. You don't need to give the younger guy any more incentive than he already has. If you disrespect or treat him like a kid, that will ignite a fire in him.
Hrgovic was betrayed by his stamina and Joshua by his chin, both with flaws and Dubois used those flaws to his advantage...
Perhaps not as bad true but still bad, because Joshua looked truly terrible in there. Timid from the opening bell, getting out jabbed by Dubois who has a significantly shorter reach and comes at you in a straight line. The same Dubois who was jabbed to stoppage by Joyce. This is the worst version of Joshua I have ever seen. If I was Parker I'd be screaming for the Joshua rematch now, because I don't see Joshua beating Parker now and I have never said that before.
I heard an interview with somebody who trained Dubois (forget who) and he basically said Dubois has the hardest jab he's ever felt. I'd never really noticed it before but today his jabbing was brutal. Some of those double jabs were almost lifting Joshua off his feet.
Yes, Not to take credit away from this Dubious win but AJ made a really silly mistake getting hit by that telegraphed haymaker in the beginning that destroyed his equilibrium for the rest of the fight. That was a really amateur mistake. AJ takes the W on a rematch similar to the Andy Ruiz rematch.
Stamina and Dubois' head. Hrgovic should get himself back in shape and come again. Would much prefer a Hrgovic rematch over seeing a Joshua one after a clear loss like that.
Man, Filip is such a waste. Fantastic boxer, granite chin, but just couldn't put it together. Hopefully he milked the Ridyah enough to live well with his family. Hopefully he found some peace after his father's death.
