He's done nothing at all for Wood, he hasn't improved him one bit. He is still going to hell and back against fighters he should beat and still getting caught with devastating shots. Great entertaining warrior but I haven't seen one adjustment under Davison.

Had one of the best inside fighters in the world in Josh Taylor and thought it was a good idea to completely change his style.

    I totally disagree

Wood was losing fights and his mindset has totally changed
I feel he punches harder too hence him getting knock outs now against world level opposition
Defence is still a liability but to say nothing has changed Imo is crazy

    Youre wrong

Wood went to davidson on the back of one loss its not like he was on a multiple fight losing streak. Prior to the loss he was on a four fight streak of wins by knock out so hes always been a winning fighter and been knocking people out far before Davidson got him

Have you actually watched his fights? He was getting splattered all over by conlon, similar to how AJ was but he picked a hail mary shot and won, and hes done the same thing a few times. Getting a beating and taking severe brain damage and then landing a KO shot doesnt make Ben Davidson a great trainer who has done wonders with him. As far as i can see hes not improved him at all.

Perhaps he has more confidence due to being fully taken in by the Davidson i study tape snake oil pitch but besides this his actual ability is the same and he takes an absolute tonne of punishment. Which is the style he seems to have given to AJ now also, get your head kicked in and hope for a big bomb to land. The gameplan almost worked too, hilariously, then Ben would be saying yeah its what we planned for, after watching so much tape id analaysed the exact spot where Dubois was vulnerable and AJ just was being patient looking for his spot to execute. Then the snake oil salesman rolls on to the next fight

I'd say this is the final nail in his coffin though, as its been exposed on the biggest stage how bad he is. Never seen AJ look worse, especially from a defensive point of view

This just sums up how Joshua is basically surrounded by sycophants and yes men.

Say what you want about the Mcguigan's, Shane is a quality trainer and has learned his craft.

AJ should go with Shane. He is too big an entity for them to **** with his money. It will be a straight deal no frills or add ons.

‘Roll the dice’ immediately after getting dropped 3 times in 4 rounds. Shocking corner work.

His tactics against Lara and Conlan were the same ones employed by Joshua against Dubois. Only sheer guts and determination got him through. Woods has always been a banger, nothing to do with Davison.

Totally agree. He is pulling back straight with his head every time. Lucky he hasn’t been in with many punchers as he’d have had his clocked clean a good few times. It was amateurish

My estimation of Shane's gone up.

    Does he study tape though?
