He beat AJ by KO. Think that qualifies him as a Foreman opponent.

Foreman by KO Joshua was intimidated tonight you could see in the ring walk he had 0 confidence in his ability/chances. As soon as Dubois put him on the backfoot he didn't know what to do and looked terrible

Foreman has a much better chin than Joshua a much higher boxing IQ and doesn't have fragile mentality either like Joshua has shown in a few fights.

NoNeck as I've said before I respect your boxing knowledge but you would literally pick any top 10 Heavyweight from the 80s to the present day over Foreman.

Let's not forget that AJ has been slipping for a while, and he was never a great fighter anyway.
So the fact he loses in brutal fashion to Dubois doesn't mean that Danny boy is the new Sonny Liston.
George knocks the living daylights out of him.

Dubois KO 4-5. The power in those fists is very real, his gas tank seems to be slightly better, plus he's the bigger guy here versus Foreman who relies on his "guard manipulation"(illegal holding and shoving really). George's usual defence also does him no favours vs a fighter 2 inches taller than him.

Good post and it's my opinion too. George was arguably the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time when it came to sheer naked power. Giving away thirty pounds or so will not hinder his power punches battering a brave Dubois to a middle rounds stoppage.

Top post. Every time someone wins a fight nowadays the forum is abuzz with them taking on all sorts of ATG's and the like.

Joshua must be a frustrating figure for his real fans and backers. He's a good to almost very good fighter but just when he threatens to kick on a bit he comes belly flopping back down to earth. He's run out of time to overly recover too at this point one would think. I said a while back he just seems to be missing something. For lack of a better description he comes across as somewhat artificial, and i don't mean his persona tho that might fit as well. Unlike guys such as Lewis and Wlad he's never found a consistent way around reasonably good but non top shelf durability. It's got a bit of an 80's feel at the moment where those below the top 1 or 2 are playing musical chairs with wins.

35 as a very late starter, much more flexible and tricky to find than many six six target practice of a fighter, and definitely more dangerous as a whole package than Miller, Dubois, and Hrgovic, though Filip is a better pure boxer even if unfulfilled as far as accolades and praises go.

Foreman was coming off of a world shattering loss in Zaire with new trainer in Gil Clancy, and an agenda of pushing a changed public persona and boxer image. He looked extremely awkward against Lyle even before the fight devolved into a war. It was only later that he managed to settle more into what Gil was selling him, and one might argue he never regained the same efficacy he had with Moore and Saddler.

Lyle on the other hand had just beaten Shavers, which is what matters a lot when you compare how dangerous and good of a win was while trying to wage war against Foreman.

Dubois did good today but let’s face it, he’s no John L Sullivan, is he?

Prime Foreman all day and all of the night.

Agree with the above on almost every point.

Though it's not surprising for this fantasy match-up to hit the forum in the immediate aftermath of Dubois's "shock" victory, is beating Joshua that much of an actual shock?

AJ has looked flat out basic and vulnerable in several of his fights and only really ever overcome adversity in one of those (vs Wlad, 2017).

What Joshua showed last night is not much different than what he has done in the past. It's just that the appearances are much shinier when against modest opposition, aiding the PR/Hype machine in maintaining his relevance, world-level viability and big earnings. But, whenever he has fought a genuine, prime, offensive threat, he's looked poor.

An old Wlad remains his best showing, to-date - and he barely made it out of those mid-rounds. That was over seven years ago. Wins against Povetkin and Parker are probably tied for second-best wins.

All of these pre-date his first loss to Ruiz Jr. Since then, he has not beaten a proven, world-class heavyweight.

I like Dubois and he deserves considerable respect for the manner in which he plowed through Joshua. The psychological challenge can't be underestimated, which he handled with great maturity. The finish was both a classic and paragon of composure under fire.

However, Foreman is so far beyond Joshua as to make Dubois's victory last night a quite ineffective benchmark against which to gauge the mountain Dubois would face in this fantasy fight.

Foreman isn't ceding command of center-ring against Dubois. Foreman is not being pushed back and bullied by Dubois. Foreman is not folding like a cheap suit when Dubois connects.

Dubois is far more likely to pay for mistakes against Foreman, and at any point Foreman has Dubois under pressure it's going to rapidly turn into a fire storm.

It's a great scrap while it lasts, but Dubois comes off second-best against a prime Foreman.

Let's see how he does against the winner of Usyk Fury II before we get the band wagon together.

Lol, no but another member here apparently favoured the Boston Strong Boy over George.
