Eddie Hearn is working overtime to look after his last big named fighter in Anthony Joshua, he has revealed that he has told AJ to wait for the result of the Tyson Fury vs Usyk rematch to jump straight back into a massive fight, after being absolutely demolished by Daniel Dubois. …Boxings a funny old game lol

Hearn told Sky Sports: “My advice is don't do anything until Dec 21st - the Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury rematch. If Fury loses it could set up a big fight vs Joshua, if Fury wins he could take a voluntary defence vs Joshua. It's still the biggest fight in the division by a mile.”

No good promoter would send a high profile boxer into another huge dangerous fight right after being KOd. Hearn just wants to milk Joshua for all he's worth and then discard him like an empty soda can.

Hearn never cared about Joshua and certainly doesn't now. This is Don King levels of scumbaggery.

Eddie has also done a fantastic job of promoting AJ. I don't believe AJ would have achieved as much in the ring or made as much money without Eddie.

I disagree, AJ just spent 2 years fighting 4 bums to rebuild which made people think he was the best in the world again, he can’t do that again, his too old.

Get back in there against some big names, he can still beat them all if he has a on night…

Eddie is a miracle man for the job he done promoting Joshua. He is literally the greatest promoter in the world for this alone.

Tbf to Hearn AJs said hes done in a year or two and I think he said that a year ago. There really isn't time for another "rebuild". All he can do is hope Fury wants to check AJ off the bucket list after beating Usyk.

Agree that Hearn is a scumbag and doesn’t care about AJ’s wellbeing at all.

But he is one hell of a promoter. I can’t stand the guy but I can’t look away when he talks.

All the money in the world is irrelevant if you have brain damage and a mountain of medical bills.

Joshua might get seriously hurt if he rushes into another dangerous elite fight right after losing by KO. Not all money is good money.

Arum is greedy as hell, but at least the guy openly admitted he didn't want to see Pacquiao get hurt fighting Crawford and said he wanted him to retire.

I see it as Hearn doing the promotors job, advising the fighter of the best money fight, and at present that would be Fury vs AJ.
So AJ needs to sit it out, another loss on AJs record would well and truly kybosh a big money fight with Fury, Over 77% of forum users who voted in the poll thought that AJ would beat Dubois, so no opponent would be low risk in the interim.

To be fair to Hearn its solid advice, I think Joshua gets beasted in 3 rounds if he rematches Dubois, I think Joshua has a much better chance of beating a fading Fury than he does against a young lion like Dubois, plus he would earn 3 times as much and possibly fight for the belts and become lineal champion for the 1st time if Fury can beat Usyk

After Saturdays performance the chances of Fury getting in the ring with AJ have increased dramatically.

Hearn would put his nan into a big fight if he thought he could make good money from it.

How long can they wait to enact the rematch clause? Or does it not have a time limit?

Boxing is a $$$ game not a pride or honor game, AJ has very little credibility left and another bad performance or loss would seriously hurt his income potential. But I get it EH cares so little about AJ while AJ has this big heart and cares so deeply about EH, the environment, children, womens rights etc.

Then you have to ask yourself the question: why is EH supposed to care so deeply about AJ? They are doing business together, it's a business relationship and not something else.
