From the looks of it, they told AJ to keep his chin high in the air and hands down by his waist. While walking directly to Dubois, and never use head movement, just walk straight ahead.

The Ruiz fight and now this shows he just can’t recover when he gets damaged… if that was Fury he’d get up and be good again the next round, AJ has heart but his body just shuts down when damaged and it’s fight over.

Yeah, but they specifically told him to throw a double jab and then an uppercut, the uppercut is not an offensive weapon, it`s a defensive weapon, it`s a punch that leaves you open to being countered so you should never lead with it.

Strange comments by True Geordie. It's almost like he either hasn't actually watched the sequence of punches that ended the fight, or is just, you know, farming content by talking bollox

That's cool and all but they didn't tell him to lead with an upper cut. You just said so yourself

Throwing an uppercut with no setup like that is going to get you knocked out.

Joshua was looking for a picture perfect one punch KO ala the Ngannou fight.

He fell in love with himself and his power.

He also admires his own work too much.

So he spent most of the fight trying to catch Dubois with a one punch KO to finish it rather than utilise a sensible game plan - stay on the outside, keep range, reset and frame an aggressive Dubois and then time him onto a shot.

Dubois is a more teachable robot than Joshua.

It probably worked a million times in sparring so he fell in love with the idea of landing that shot

Same thing that got Ruddock sparked by Lewis.
