No the comparison is just stupid not only because Lewis is at least 3 tiers ahead of him in the greatness but because you only brought Lewis up to criticize his career and you play double standards making excuses for aj starting late, having mental problems, getting temple shotted by Ruiz etc. You call Lewis a glass jaw bum while aj has been dropped more times in less fights has to be comedy. joshua got power washed by fat Ruiz who should've lost to shot Ortiz and Miller and Dubois outboxed him, leveled him 5 times and he's not getting his lick back, he's never getting mentioned with the elites of history it's over
You mean Usyk didn't get lucky with his opponent who was whooping his ass suffering a cut and then tucked tail and allowed himself to literally be chased out of the sport by them Lewis was well on his way to getting slept for the third time as a pro and the cut saved him from that and then he saved himself from getting slept in the rematch when he tucked tail and quit his job like a female dog
Lewis didn't "get lucky." He punched holes in Vitali's face. A lot of them. Over the eye. Under the eye. Through his cheek. In his mouth. You act likee Vitali twisted his knee or slipped on a wet canvas. Lewis tore the side of his face off with one punch after another after another. Lewis beat him up.
What part about let's leave it there don't you understand? I politely explained to you that it's actually painful for me to keep typing post after post but you still can't let it go You boxing nostagists are the ones who constantly play the double standard game and then you cry your big baba tears when others make you hold your idols from previous eras to a standard you refuse to do Lewis was a glass-jawed bum and he would've been KO'd 10 times without Manny in his corner and 20 if he started boxing at 18.
Cut wins are always unsatisfactory and even more so when you were getting your ass whooped and the cut saved your glass jaw from getting shattered again He got lucky with the cut, raked it with his gloves and rubbed his hair it it to exacerbate it and then he tucked tail and ran from the sport and the rematch like a female dog because he was female dog made and he knew he would get slept in the rematch and so did the fans too
lol if Lewis is glass ajs chin must be cotton candy. I would rather lose to Rahman than quit after getting beat down by a fat meatball in front of millions
I hear you but despite his gargantuan size advantage, Belly was actually faster than Usyk - that's how much Usyk has slowed down Thanks I appreciate it. I really need to be resting my wrist and keeping it straight and I can't do that when I'm typing
You're getting slapped around by a blind cripple I think I'll take everything you say with a huge pinch of salt For the last time. That's it, Debate over
Lennox Lewis defeated Gary Mason, Frank Bruno, Tony Tucker, Razor Ruddock .... before he has Emmanuel Steward in his corner. Those 4 heavyweights stack up well against the best ones AJ defeated in his whole career. "Binman Lewis" is better than AJ.
Lewis was already past his prime and considering retirement. Given the circumstances retirement seems a perfectly reasonable decision. There's nothing wrong with wanting to leave on a positive note and not wanting to tarnish his legacy. Klitschko didn't pursue a rematch with Joshua choosing to retire instead and nobody has a problem so why should Lewis be any different? I would have perferred a rematch with Breidis over the Bellew fight as Bellew is by far a lesser fighter. If Fury/Usyk choose to retire rather than face Itauma next year is that a duck in your book?
AJ fans will be tempted to use "age related decline" to rationalize the 34 year olds loss to 27 year old Dubois. But when AJ was 27 to 31 years old he was already building his reputation on opponents considerably older than 34 Even if the past 13 months he faced a 39 year old Helenius and a 37 year old Ngannou, and they were never much good to begin with.
You’ll never convince Markus that Lewis isn’t a s good as he thinks he is. Lewis resume is suspect just as much as AJs
Sound like you're coping about joshua getting whitewashed for the 4th time in his career, now you look foolish after you overrated the crap out of him.
Lewis said he'd give Vitali a rematch but when push came to shove and he had to back up his words he lost his bottle and pulled the duck. The reason being because he knew he was getting his ass whooped in the first fight and he didn't believe he could beat Vitali in a rematch. No matter how much you sugarcoat it it's a duck. Er. Wlad was 41 y/o, had 69 fights, and he lost the fight. He didn't get lucky escaping with a win on a cut eye in a fight he was getting his ass whooped in So would I but the only window for the Briedis rematch at CW was in late 2018 when Usyk fought Bellew and Briedis fought Gevor and Briedis was an injury-ravaged mess then and was essentially a one handed fighter. He would've stood zero chance of avenging his loss. Other than that he could've moved up to HW to pursue a rematch but he didn't Again, another completely different situation. If Belly or Usyk fought Moses, escaped with a cut eye win in a fight they were getting their ass whooped in, agreed to give him a rematch and the tucked tail and quit the sport out of fear of facing him again it would widely be considered a duck just like it would if the roles were reversed with Vitali and Lewis. Is Usyk in his prime at 37-38?
