Tyson Furys resume is better than Anthony Joshuas

He deserves credit for many of his performance but the devastating stoppage losses to underdogs Ruiz and Dubois takes a lot of gloss off an otherwise very good resume. Both made him look second rate.

 

How much worse could Fury have possibly done than Joshua did against Ruiz and Dubois?

 

1000%...Fury has lost one fight against probably the best fighter of our generation...and there wasn't much in it. Fury controlled large portions of the fight too. I still feel Fury can beat Usyk, and that fight is yet to come. AJ looks done to be honest.

 

Honestly it'd look similar to how he dealt with Chisora.

Joshua would have more losses than he currently does if he'd fought champ Wlad in Germany and prime Wilder x3 in America, as well as Usyk x2 (assuming Fury doesn't duck the rematch, which I think is highly unlikely). And given Joshua's NOMAS7 against Ruiz it wouldn't necessarily take Fury's best three opponents to beat him.

AJ has consistently fought the best, Wlad followed by Parker, Povetkin and Ruiz, Then Usyk twice and Dubois.

 

I would agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

 

Who knows? We never saw Fury take any such fights. We know that he can beat someone like Whyte with ease. We also know that he can barely beat someone like Ngannou.
Dominates Chisora yet struggles with Wallin.
Barely survives Wilder yet gives Usyk one of if not the toughest fights of his career.

Ifs, buts, barelies, what ifs, nearlies. They don't amount to a whole lot. Bottom line is this :

Fury 31-1-1 and the one loss, to the best heavyweight at the present time and Usyk described it as his toughest fight.

Josha 28-4 with two losses to Usyk, a humiliating KO loss to Ruiz in the fight meant to showcase him to the US market and the recent humiliating beatdown at the hands of Dubois.

 

And if you start looking at the top 10 guys they fought, you will see that Joshua tested himself more that Fury, who spend his entire career handpicking opponents. He fought only 1 mandatory challenger in his entire career and only had 7 title fights.
"But he only has one loss". Laughable.

 

That's an extremely tainted opinion. Haters gotta hate.

 

Tainted how? It´s pretty easy to argue that Joshua tested himself far more. And looking at Fury´s performances against guys like Wallin, Ngannou and Cunnigham; it´s fair to say that he likely would have more losses on his record if he actually competed at the highest level consistently.

 

Fury has fought and beaten top level and the level bellow it. Only falling short against Usyk. Joshua managed to get stopped by Ruiz and schooled and stopped by Dubois.
