As has already been delineated, there is not much more.

Joshua beat Wlad, and ATG. Sure, Wlad was 41, but Holy is problematic too as a PEDS cheat. We really don't know how good Holy was from fight to fight, because he wasn't a natural great, but a guy who used HGH to blow up from cruiser.

Yeah, Joshua has losses, but Bowe has fights that absolutely should have been losses. And Joshua wins on other metrics, liek regaining the title, and overall title defenses.

    They are comparable.

Ruiz was a highly ranked contender, and he made good and won a unified championship.

What does it matter what he recently did?

    Stop.

Not before he beat aj and did nothing since. It's literally filler. But keep overrating this mythical resume.

I am sorry, but this is flat out ridiculous. Ruiz was already a top contender, which is why he got the shot when Miller pulled out. Do we then say that Bowe was nothing until he beat Holyfield? Whatever, guy.

Good luck to you. Bowe and Joshua cluster in about the same place. Boxrec, for example, has Joshua 22 AT, and Bowe 28. Don't bother to start crying about Boxrec, I know there are anomalies with their ratings, mostly caused by how they rate weight-jumpers, but its about right--Bowe just did not do much with his career at all after the big Holy win.

Jorge Luiz Gonzalez was a ranked top 10 contender too and you give Bowe 0 credit for beating him. Double Standards. Fact is Ruiz was ranked for no reason, he did nothing until he smashed aj and has done nothing since.

Ruiz is a top win for aj because ruiz destroyed him is basically what you're saying. Overrated, but whatever

Ruiz wasn't rated as top 10 when he faced Joshua. I seem to remember.
I think just one of the sanctioning bodies had him in their top 15.
I doubt any fans or magazines or websites had been citing him as top 10 at that time.
His claim to fame was a close 12-rounder with Parker, but you could say the same about Hughie Fury at that point.

BUT WHAT DID GONZALES ULTIMATELY ACCOMPLISH!!!!!!!!!!

I only said that Ruiz was already a contender when he fought Joshua because you said he was nothing at the time. You are the one who is shifting the bar.

He beat Joshua. Then Joshua beat him. What is hard to understand about this? Ruiz has a greater standing than Gonzales, or Donald, or Hide.

By historical standing Bowe was undisputed.

When someone like Dubois dominated aj form start to finish, Ruiz's win over aj alone isn't enough for me, especially when Ruiz here is being used to prop up ajs pedigree. Its curicular logic no ? Donald has more wins against Fringe contenders than Ruiz and imo boxes Ruiz and Whytes face off h2h.

But if you wanna make aj out to be some elite fighter when he has has 4 one-sided losses despite having more title opportunities than anyone in the division go ahead

HE WAS UNDISPUTED AND DIVIDED THE TITLES.

His legacy is not a good one.

Bowe beat Holyfield who beat him...CIRCULAR LOGIC!!!!!

Frazier beat Ali who beat him....CIRCULAR LOGIC!!!!

Schmeling beat Louis who beat him....CIRCULAR LOGIC!!!!!

    That's how boxing works, guy.

Had some fun matchups and was a decent draw. Will not be remembered for being a particularly good boxer. The smiling he does everytime he is getting battered is a funny trademark. Decent lad outside of the ring. Should give acting a shot. Sellable image.

Nah it was in the cards next thats why they put Mercer vs Furgeson on the Bowe/Dokes undercard. Had Mercer won it would be Bowe vs Mercer

There's nothing on Gonzalez record to suggest he ever warranted a top 10 ranking. We can use common sense to say he should not have been ranked in the top 10.

Just answer the question: Who has he beat in his prime ?

That goes to any boxer by the way.

You are way off the mark in your assessment there, unfortunately. It was some time ago to be fair.

    Andy Ruiz (May 2019):
    WBA #5 (https://www.wbaboxing.com/wp-content/uploads/rankings/2019-may.pdf)
    WBO #11(WBO | WBO Rankings - World Boxing Rankings - WBO (wboboxing.com))
    IBF #15 (ibf-usba-boxing.com/ratings/)

Reading the notes, it seems the WBC didn't rank him because he went the WBA/WBO/IBF route (https://www.maurowbc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/WBC-RATINGS-MAY-2019.pdf)

The same can be said for Ruiz, robbed Jarrell Miller, couldn't convincingly beat an ancient Luiz Ortiz, struggled with a shot to bits Arreola. What has he done to warrant a ranking before beating aj ? Because apparently he was ranked before
