Might be a mismatch, not sure. What do we think?

Holy. Just too physical. Beats Floyd down and gets the stoppage

My third and fourth favorite fighters ever. I’m abstaining from a pick here.

Patterson a little too small, even for Evander. I think Evander would put in a better effort than Quarry and might even overwhelm Floyd

One must remember that this is 190, pre-Evan Fields, Holyfield. The size difference is there but not too extreme. I pick Holy but I remember how close sawed-off Bert Cooper came to stopping Vander and that does give me pause. Despite his propensity to leap in, Patterson was much more disciplined than a Cooper and had the same devastating left hook. I would make Patterson a live underdog.

At 190 it might be a tossup.

At 190? No mismatch either way. Floyd wins a split decision that could go either way. Although, if Holyfield gets a knockdown, which is very plausible, it could swing the decision in his favor.

Personally I don't believe there's a cruiserweight or 190 pounder in history that beat Holyfield.
Patterson's speed could offsets Holyfield for a while, but Holyfield's better all around skills, and ability to fight through adversity would eventually allow him to overwhelm Patterson.
    Stop him in 10 rds
