No actually I can't.Later, when Munroe was embarrassed byJohnson, reporters said he didn't even know how to punch properly.
Baseless. Utterly baseless speculation. Maybe if Holmes hadn’t waited until he was practically 25 to turn pro, it’d have happened organically.
When? When they were 50? Yeah, because Foreman was a famous draw, & Holmes couldn’t draw flies to ****. Foreman wanted the lions share of the purse, which Holmes had trouble agreeing to. Nonetheless, the fight was made until the promoter failed to come up with the money. Not that it had any meaningful purpose as they were 50 (it was even billed as the “Birthday Bash”). Tell another tall tale.
I don't tell tales and you are a notorious Holmes hater, let's just give each other a miss from now on.
Paul Hodkinson v Stevie Cruz - I get this from a promotional point. This was Barney Eastwood's revenge. Hodkinson's defense was staged in Belfast where the fans remembered all too well Cruz beating Eastwood's Barry McGuigan in the Vegas heat. The issue here was that Cruz was nowhere near the fighter he was 6 years earlier. He had dropped out of the ratings, lost 2 out of his last 3 and in his last fight - which was 13 months earlier - he was knocked out by Rafael Ruelas in 3 rounds. Handpicked for a promotional coup, but shameless, nonetheless.
@MaccaveliMacc Yes it’s baseless to suggest Foreman could handle the likes of Ossie Ocasio & Renaldo Snipes, hey? What wild speculation.
He totally lacked the consistency to have a long reign. That’s why he won the title twice and only managed a single meaningful defense of it.
The way I see it, if there was some section of the media calling for the fight, then it is justifiable. Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course.
