He’s not a fraud but I think he freezes in the big moments. So great in the gym but not so great in the corner

Young, handsome and British trainers and promoters are taking over the sport

Nah man he may not be a great trainer but a fraud wouldn't have been up front about their lack of boxing experience they would have like fraudently scammed their way in

It’s been said that Ben is more of a ‘fitness’ trainer than an actual Boxing trainer. I think he is a fine conditioning/motivational coach and a mediocre Boxing Trainer.

I actually think he has good knowledge but lacks authority and doesn't command enough respect.

Fury v Wilder 1 with Roach pressing for Fury to go for the stoppage but Davison wanting to hang back and go for the points win which nearly cost Fury dearly,as the rematches have shown Roach was correct ! Every Trainer in the World is judged solely on his fighters performances and sometimes it’s at the fighters loss to realise that the Trainer they have is no good for them,a prime example being George Groves getting trained by Paddy Fitzpatrick !

He's more a fitness conditioning guy than a boxing trainer

I don't think he's a fraud but he also isn't a great trainer either. He seems knowledgeable enough when he talks about boxing but I don't think he really understands that not everything will work with every fighter, you have to adapt to the specific fighter you are training, you can't treat them all the same. The latest example is making Joshua fight with his hands down and trying to lean away from shots, that might work for a fighter like Fury to improve his defence but for sometime who's always had such awful head movement it was a disaster.

I love this guy cos he strikes me as a wellness guru who somehow found himself in the corner of boxing fights.

Given AJ's experience, background, financial backing, support, age, the number of high class trainers he has worked with, you can't blame Ben Davidson alone for his performance. At the elite level fighters should have the talent, ability, ring iq, intelligence, heart to adapt, be versatile, spontaneous with their tactics, approach in the ring. That is what seperates the elite fighters from average fighters, a trainer cannot prepare you for every scenario in the ring and he certainly cannot give you a chin, heart, bravery. Those are intangible qualities a fighter should demonstrate themselves.

AJ's losses have only proven him to be a mediocre hypejob

Unfortunately for Joshua, the decisions you make outside the ring impact how you perform inside the ring. He's fortunate to be with a very, very good promoter, but he seems unwilling to stick with a real trainer. He doesn't want to walk the gritty path any longer and so a trainer who trains that way isn't for him. Ben Davison is more of a reflection on what Joshua wants; he wants a soothing yes man who makes him feel clever and tough, but he doesn't want to do the real work it takes to become clever and tough IN the ring.

    Define Fraud?

Hes coached numerous elite levels fighters, who have won big fights.

What exactly does he have to do to be considered "not a fraud"?
