She was over 40 when she fought Bridges she couldn’t have much left.

 

Honestly thought she was already retired. One of Aus boxing pioneering women's fighters has gone out with a bit of a whimper.

 

Turning 40 in the pro ranks will do that to you.

Just a pity Shannon didn't get a shot at higher honours earlier in her career. By the time she landed her big opportunity against Bridges she was on the slide.

 

Nice to hear Jazzy Parr get a commentary gig.

 

The referee wore one on the stoppage there and it wasn't accidental.
