You're using it as a tool to compare both fighters. Context should matter as to the caliber of champion defeated.

    In summary, Martin was nothing.

Joshua fanboys are permanently trapped in the year 2018. Its so sad watching them live in the past when there were still people in the world that used to think AJ was good.

Ruiz's #3 ranking you tried to emphasize was solely based on him beating Joshua. He hadn't beaten any other top level opponents.

Charles Martin would make Fury's top ten

    WladKlit
    Wilder II
    Wilder III
    Whyte
    Chisora I
    Wallin
    Cunningham
    Chisora II
    Chisora III
    Kingpin Johnson

All of those fighters would handily beat Charles Martin.

Cool story bro. Who from that list would he even be competitive with?

    I agree
I have agreed with what you have written on this subject previously and said Fury had some better wins
I agree context which is what I said below
This is where I can decide who's resume I think is greater (not that my opinion means anything)
    See below

In the time from winning their first world title
Fury November 2015 and Joshua April 2016

Fury is 5-1-1 in world title fights
Joshua 9-0-4 in world title fights

    Unification wins
    Fury 0-0-1
    Joshua 2-0-0

    Reigning champions beaten
    Fury 2
    Joshua 3

    Successful title defences
    Fury 3
    Joshua 7

Including winning the title to date -
I think Fury has had 6 fights against top 10 rated competition in the nearly 9 years (3 against same opponent)
I think Joshua has had 10 fights against top 10 rated competition in the around 8 and a half years

In the time from winning their first world title
Fury November 2015 and Joshua April 2016
    Nearly 9 years and 8 1/2 respectively -
Fury has had 3 successful title defences
Joshua has had 7 successful title defences

    That may be incorrect

Point I was making was the more defences or top 10 rated opponents faced continually, the more chance to suffer a loss

Ok, so would you not have Bakole entering the top 10 even though he just scored an impressive stoppage win over a top 10 rated opponent and would you not think it worth anything if Anderson took an immediate rematch and won?

Things are bleak when you start clutching at irrelevant hypotheticals.

Why was he rated #3 by RING though?

You are very reluctant to answer that question and predictably so.

Being a fan of Joshua like the way many are on this forum is sad as hell. They're like those zealous fans of huge pop musicians. They don't know or care about the real deal. They also seem to have other tendencies.
