Mikhailovich was very tough and game and his smothering style made for an ugly and difficult fight but Janibek has eagle vision and snake precision and he was much more skilful and noticeably the bigger man too and his power, skill, accuracy and punch picking proved too much

I most enjoyed the Japanese ref yelling ''Heeeeyyyy!'' about a dozen times

Janibek looked really sharp. He just couldn't miss and those shots are so hurtful. I thought Mikhailovich would give him some trouble, but he is on another level. Let's see him against Adames & Sheeraz. I think he's already a Top 10 P4P guy, but a victory over those guys would only solidify his claim.

If he can't keep making 160 and moves to 168, he'd be a nightmare for everyone, including Canelo.

I would love to see Janibek-Sheeraz too. Ammo Williams was able to wobble Sheeraz with his straight left so I think Janibek has a great chance of putting him out for the count if he lands one of his clean left hands.

Set my stupid alarm too late, fight was ending when I woke up. Went back to bed grumpy and now ready to clock in for a better late than never scoring. :sisi1

    Round 1

Alimkhanuly controlling early with the southpaw jab, and nails Mikhailovich with the first big power shot of the contest ninety seconds in - a big quick windmilled left on the face. Mikhailovich circling away, picking off what he can. Mikhailovich eats a 1-2. Double jab by Mikhailovich, with Alimkhanuly easily back-stepping to avoid it but keeping his arm sloped down to catch it just in case. Alimkhanuly lands a couple of jabs, then ducks a charging assault. Clinch. Mikhailovich lands some clubbing forearms on the back of Alimkhanuly's neck, but no actual punches. A right hand is blocked at the bell and the commentators mistakenly say he landed a couple.

    10-9 Alimkhanuly

    Round 2

Alimkhanuly is catching Mikhailovich rushing in with southpaw jabs and 1-2s. Usually these charges end in a clinching waltz. Alimkhanuly not working on the inside or doing any work in the phonebooth, just waiting on the referee. Alimkhanuly hurts Mikhailovich with a jab and left uppercut. Alimkhanuly opens up, landing a few more shots as Mikhailovich wobbles about, then finally holds on. Half a minute left. Hard left hand leads by Alimkhanuly. Mikhailovich almost down a couple of times. He sticks his tongue out, and moments later Alimkhanuly makes him pay with a knockdown at the bell.

    10-8 Alimkhanuly

    20-17 Alimkhanuly

    Round 3

Alimkhanuly is hammering Mikhailovich with the right jab for a solid 40 seconds to start the round, before firing a single left. He does so, and Mikahilovich is rocked into the ropes. Mikhailovich clinging to Alimkhanuly. Short right hook by Alimkhanuly. Mikhailovich digs a couple of left hooks under Alimkhanuly's shoulder. Left uppercut by Alimkhanuly. Mikhailovich working sloppily on the inside, again dragging his forearms across Alimkhanuly's nape more than actually hitting him. Wild lunging left hook swing and a miss by Mikahilovich. Alimkhanuly wrestles him against the ropes and lands a short combo. Another left uppercut by Alimkhanuly, this time scored moving backward. 4-5 unanswered shots by Mikhailovich.

    10-9 Alimkhanuly

    30-26 Alimkhanuly

    Round 4

Alimkhanuly is ducking under the wild hooks of Mikhailovich and tanking into him, at times carrying him across the ring, then alternately sliding in reverse to let Mikhailovich lead and conveniently push his own face directly into the path of combinations. No effective offense from Mikhailovich, just grinding in and flapping his arms on Alimkhanuly's sides, virtually always hitting bicep if anything.

    10-9 Alimkhanuly

    40-35 Alimkhanuly

    Round 5

Alimkhanuly is looking bored, adjusting his trunks when the ref orders breaks from the frequent clinches. Mikhailovich's whole strategy appears to be to get inside but he isn't doing anything of note once there - besides get hit and fail to land himself. Alimkhanuly creates some distance and walks Mikhailovich onto a long right jab and left uppercut. Alimkhanuly feeling loose and confident, arms by his sides as he moonwalks. Double jab up top into the guard, spearing left on the body from Alimkhanuly.

    10-9 Alimkhanuly

    50-44 Alimkhanuly
