If Bivol avoided Beterbiev, it was smart of him. Why fight him and take the risk of being knocked out? If he was beaten by Beterbiev, Canelo wouldn't fight him, and he wouldn't get a $5M salary.

It's not a bad thing to avoid risky fighters in professional boxing. Paychecks worth millions of dollars are at stake. A smart boxer would maneuver his way to great paydays by avoiding risky fights as long as he can. This is professional boxing, this is business.

Bivol has enough people to worry about how much he gets paid without you needing to give it a second thought.

We are fans of boxing, which means we want to see the best fight each other.

Beterbiev will be called special, when he KO's P4P fighter in his prime, becomes undisputed, at his age. Nobody has done that in the recent memory.

If Turki wants them to fight 10 times they will fight 10 times.

Hearn, Warren, Arum etc have no powers of veto over this guy otherwise he will take the carrot away from them.

Using my translation skills I think what you really mean to say is "If Beterbiev beats Bivol he should be ranked higher than Usyk, who's a coward"

I'm sure you would reject millions of dollars for the sake of entertaining fight fans.

    Obviously I wouldn't do, I'd be selfish.

But Bivol has enough people to wish him financial success without boxing fans hoping he avoids the best fighters just so he can make more more money.

As a fan of the sport, I agree with you, but as a working man, I see why fighters take the route of least resistance. Longevity ensures more pay days. Getting paid good money for less work or easier work is a good strategy in life, no matter what line of work a person is in.

    Obviously.

But we're boxing fans on a boxing website so naturally we want to see the best fight each other, and we don't want to see fighters avoiding competitive fights

Like I said, as a fan I agree, but boxers are humans too. I understand why they do what they do. Think about it. How many times have we seen a young fighter take on a tough opponent struggles or loses and now that guy was exposed, hypejob bum, some fans even call for retirement. So, to a certain degree, the so called fans are to blame for fighters not fighting the best. To your point, in a perfect world, the best would fight the best everytime out.

Of course they're human, but they have a team around them designed to protect their personal interests.

We are fans who want to see the best fight each other.
