Brutal stoppage and a great win for Nick Ball, though Rios showed incredible heart and can leave with his head held high.

A very good but deceptively hard earned win for Nick, this scrap will keep him honest for sure. Nothing's a bloody given.

Fantastic warrior attitude from Rios. He defo earned his crust tonight. He has the heart of a lion.

A stoppage before halfway through the 8th round would've been entertaining.

Yup, replay confirms it. Rabbit punch started the KO sequence.

Impressive performance from Ball, brutal finish, but there was a rabbit punch to start off that final salvo, though there really was only ever going to be one winner and Rios was being slowly ground down.

Ball is a beast. Inoue would be a hell of a fight.

Rios' corner threw a towel at Ball. That's assault

Paint last week at Ryan, a towel tonight at Ball

Another exciting performance from Ball and some lovely combinations thrown for the KDs, credit to Rios for his heart and taking all that punishment

Still wish Ball would pick his shots more instead of wasting all that energy hitting arms and gloves. When facing an opponent with a high guard he should go to the body even more and tire them out so their hands drop. He's super fit but he could manage his energy better
