Dubois vs. Hrgovic would be a better rematch than Dubois vs. Joshua.

I personally like the Fury vs Wilder trilogy. But I do agree that not every fight needs a trilogy or a rematch.

The trilogy itself was good, the fights were great, but the issue is how long it took to finish. 3 ****ing years of two of the best in the division being tied up with one another. it´s ridiculous.
And neither man did anything of significance for the following two years after the trilogy concluded. Well, Fury fought Whyte, which was OK.

So they basically spent 5 years fighting each other and lower tier guys.

This, so much this. I'm tired of all these rematches and tired of them being so damn drawn out.

When I got into the sport three years ago now, the champions were Fury and AJ, and the very day I decided to get into this, the undisputed fight had supposedly been made. As we all know, events unfolded that lead to Fury having to give Wilder the rematch he was owed in their contracts, and AJ would be ordered to fight Usyk, which lead to them having a rematch a year later. Also during this year, Parker had two matches with Chisora, who a year later would get another match with Fury. Then last year Zhang beats Joyce and has to rematch him. AJ was gonna rematch Dillian Whyte, but that fell apart, which I was happy about because it at least lead to him getting into the ring with someone else.

Now Zhang has lost to Parker and there's supposed to be a rematch there, and AJ lost to Dubois and there's talk of a rematch there too, and we got Usyk rematching Fury at the end of the year. That's not even mentioning folks calling for things like AJ to fight Usyk a third time, Usyk to rematch Dubois, Joyce to rematch Dubois, Parker calling out Whyte and AJ for rematches with others wanting him to fight Joyce, Wilder vs. Ortiz III being a real possibility at one point, Fury saying he wanted to rematch Ngannou at one point, so on and so forth.

Just... come on. Most of these guys ain't spring chickens, and most of them only get in the ring once or twice in a calendar year, or three times if you're REALLY lucky. **** all these rematches and get them in with some new people before they're all retired and we're left with a hell of a lot of "What if" scenarios. Give me AJ-Wilder, Fury-AJ, Dubois-Zhang, Usyk-Parker, Dubois-Parker, Usyk-Zhang, anything that isn't two guys who have already shared a ring. Yeah, some of those are past their best by date, but it'd be better than nothing. Would much rather have more Lewis-Tyson situations than Bowe-Lewis ones, y'know?

I mean I get why it happens. Money talks and bull**** walks and all that. But I'm a boxing fan on a boxing forum, let me simultaneously dream and *****

How about Hrgovic vs Joshua? And the winner fights Dubois.[/QUOTE]
Why? Dubois stopped both. Shouldn't the fair thing to be Dubois moving on?

My Top 3 fights for Dubois right now:

    1. Zhang
    2. Usyk
    3. Parker

I really want Zhang to get a shot at the belt. It’s not right when a good contender like him goes a whole career without a title shot. And he needs one right now because of his age.

Thing is all the Joshua die hards still can’t accept that Dubois not only beat Joshua but he destroyed him ! I would rather see the Dubois v Joshua rematch to put this denial to bed or does Joshua do a Ruiz 2 and pull off the win ? Either way for me it needs to be settled in a rematch between these two.I also believe people would rather see a Dubois v Joshua rematch and both Warren and Hearn know this is a sell out UK event and by far the bigger money maker than either of them fighting Hrgovic !

Parker sort of ended that Run Zhang had, so I'm not sure he's next in line.

Zhang for me has the best boxing ability mixed with power at the top of the division but that gas tank is a problem. Its seriously bad and because of it I don't see him winning a belt.

I want a rematch but not right now. Joshua needs to take some time off and to recover. Sure, the Ruiz rematch happened 6 months after the first, but it was ill advised back then. Not to mention that this loss was far more brutal. He got faceplanted.
Plus we are at the lat possible moment to make Joshua vs Wilder. There won´t be another chance.

Merit wise this goes without saying.

Neither deserve the shot it should be Kabayel or Bakole. But if this is the choice it is obvious. Dubois v Hrgovic 2 is a good 50/50 fight. Dubois v AJ 2 really isn't.

In their defense they both took 2 fights in between 1 and 2. Also Wilder sued Fury to get fight 3.

But yeah agree with the larger sentiment.

    Bruno lost to Tyson twice.

Bodybuilder would lose twice to Dubois.

    Period.

Better to see Dubois and Hrgovic fight again.
