Its pretty much my 70s list with Liston.

 

I'm thinking Holmes might just happen to sneak in above the likes of Shavers and Bugner for starters. He did beat Shavers after all, and in the 70's lol

There are a couple of placings that could be switched around.For example it would of course
be perfectly reasonable to rate Big George above Smokin'Joe but I feel that the 1968-71 version
of Frazier was an incredible fighter who would probably give more problems to the other greats/near greats
than Foreman would.However if anybody disagrees with that opinion I wouldn't argue too much.
Same goes for my rating of Ken Norton over Ron Lyle.It wouldn't be outrageous if other guys rated
Lyle above Norton.
Jimmy Young didn't have the most exciting style but he was a superb technician who was unlucky not to have won at least one version of the title.

 

Your top HW was beaten badly by two guys below him and almost killed by number 6? Ali beat everyone on that list while at 2? how does that work?

Foreman was not beaten "badly" by Jimmy Young it was a close fight. In another thread I was just mentioning if the fight was 10 rounds and there was no point deduction thats a draw.

Foreman had Lyle out in 5. It was a slugfest but Foreman won decisively.

 

Your logic is just baffling to me you never make 1 bit of sense including having Tony Tucker as one of the best 80s Heavyweights achievement wise.

Foreman lost decisively to Ali when Ali was past his prime and Foreman was in his prime.

Foreman lost decisively to Young at age 28 it wasn't a close fight I scored it last year 116-111 for Young.

Foreman won decisively over Lyle ? You call getting floored twice in a life and death struggle almost getting KO'ed multiple times as a decisive win ? Can you explain your thought process because I can never understand it.

I agree Foreman should still rated highly but as number 1 ?

In your original list you had the likes of Bugner, Ellis, Quarry, Shavers, and not even mentioning Holmes ? Especially when Holmes 12-0ed Shavers in the 70s ? Mate are you ok ?
