It will be harder to cut the ring vs Jalolov. Jalolov is extremely upright and doesn't lean forward at all. So i am not sure how effective those uppercuts would be vs him. Jalolov's left is a monster punch and not exactly easy to anticipate or walk through. ' I suspect Bakole will be able to pressure him and stop him late but i wouldn't bet anything on this fight. Jalolov is completely unproven at pro level and has only fought cans. Bakole might have some stamina issues late in this fight. 60/40 edge to Bakole right now. Bakole is the man of the moment but we have seen this before with Joyce and even Nganou. One good performance and everyone thinks these guys are unbeatable. I am still laughing at people who thought Joyce could beat a prime Mike Tyson or that Ngannou could beat Usyk. Bakole is very dangerous and could potentially beat any of the top 10 but he is extremely hittable and could also potentially lose to them.
Good fight, Bakole is still more proven, he beat Kuzmin, Yoka, Takam and Anderson, Jalolov is still unknown in professional boxing, but I would still give him a slight advantage over Bakole because of his talent, athleticism and power...
I like Jalolov's movement for a HW but he usually looked disturbed anytime he gets hit hard. He knows why he is avoiding bigger competition and bigger money at the pro. Folks, we'll talk about him when he's serious
I remember his fight with Joyce in the 2016 Olympics. Joyce put the pressure on him and Jalolov looked like he wanted to quit after 2 rounds. Long time ago yes, but I don't think he has the toughness needed to succeed.
You've learned nothing from backing overhyped and underproven Hrgovic, have you? Sorry, but being deadly serious for a moment... We're seriously supposed to believe that Jalolov is supposed to beat a good gatekeeper type fighter like Bakole? Let's just remember Jalolov's been fighting absolute nobodies - about the most recognisable of which is Sokolowski who has a sub-25% win rate... Not all successful amateurs become great pros - let's be realistic here, there's a ridiculous chasm in provenness between Jalolov and Bakole, to the extent that it's beyond ridiculous to be backing Jalolov.
Smh... Yea, didn't learn a thing. Hrgovic is, and was, way way more proven in the pros - and that's saying a lot when you consider how unproven Hrgovic was compared with the contenders you were fancying him against It's not about picking the wrong hyped fighter to throw your hopes on - it's the entire way of thinking that's wrong, mate.
I'm not convinced he's a contender just yet... But a gatekeeper over a prospect is just as solid. (And is it just me, or is "30 year old prospect" almost as ridiculous as "40 year old virgin"?)
Jalolov doesn't like pressure very much. He grabs and holds when fighters get too close. You can see it in his Olympic fights. Bakole is much more proven and I would favor him to win by TKO. Jalolov need to diversify his offense other than jab and left hand. He could very well catch Bakole early, but in a long fight, Bakole is much more effective.
Looking forward to this one! Truly two big and skilled HW monsters, in addition to two contrasting styles. At the same time, we know that Jalolov is probably more skilled than Bakole considering he won 2x Olympic gold, even if I feel he should have focused on the professional ranks instead of getting his second gold medal, its still a great achievement. Its hard to judge how good Jalolov really is - considering he has not got much experience in the pro ranks, you have had some unbelievable fighters winning gold from Ali to Lennox to Wladimir to Usyk. To some absolute bums like Audley and Yoka. Its a rather vague measure of whether you'll repeat the successes in the pro ranks. What a step up this is for Jalolov though, on top of being professionally inactive for over a year especially from beating journeymen at best. Bakole is a very dangerous and physical fighter and possibly a serious contender, with a great weaponry and in the right hungry, confident mindset. But - I'm not particularly convinced on Bakole's stamina or his ability to cut off the ring. I could see this as a stylistically bad match up for Bakole if Jalolov uses his skill, his left and his bike to keep his distance staying away from the best of Bakole's arsenal. On the other hand, does Jalolov have the mental toughness to go into the trenches? It's a hard one because Bakole is a lot more proven in the pro ranks, but I think Bakole's style suits Jalolov and I think Jalolov has the skill to beat Bakole, and will use his bike to keep the distance and away from Bakoles best shots. If Jalolov goes toe to toe looking for a streetfight, I think Jalolov will get knocked out. I could see a stoppage, more likely a TKO than a KO for either fighter, but my bet is a close Jalolov points decision after a few scares. This is a serious step up for Jalolov and if he can beat Bakole this early in the pro ranks, he defo has the potential to be a HW champion.
Is this official? I'm having a hard time believing this fight is happening Jalalov is a light year and 3 moons a better boxer than Jared Anderson, he definitely has the skills to dispatch Bakole, don't let Bakoles impressive sonning of some unaccomplished top rank fighter cloud your judgment, this is a far better match This is not an easy fight for Bakole, every single punch that Bakole throws was better than every single punch Anderson threw, the same can't be said here, Jalalovs straight left is the best punch in this fight and Bakoles jab won't be as effective against a mobile southpaw. Bakoles keys to victory is to avoid being hurt by Jalalovs left straight early on and to apply calculated pressure, force Jalalov to expend his energies on the backfoot making sure that he's working more to maintain distance than Bakole himself. He then has to ramp up the pace and really start punishing Jalalov once his legs begin to slow down, he's there to be hit if he gets complacent and he will have to capitalize, jalalov has the better jab out of almost all opponents he's faced, this will no longer be true if he stops moving behind that jab, if he does, I think bakole will bludgeon his face with the stick like he's never been bludgeoned before Jalalov just needs to pace himself and hurt Bakole once, this is going to be a contest between Bakoles boxing brain and Jalalovs ability to dissect an equally strong puncher with a wider variety of shots who in my opinion is at the moment superior to Jalalov in all but controlling the mid range and mobility.
Agree with this analysis. It is indeed weird that this fight is happening. I do admit it is hard to believe.
