Vinny Pazienza. He was the passenger on a head on collision and he suffered a dislocated vertebra and two fractured vertebra in his neck
and won IBO and IBC super middleweight titles after the accident

In what manner did he con them? which fights exactly do you think he got that he didn’t deserve? Just De La Hoya?

Being a bog average fighter at world class level he was managed brilliantly, though some luck played a role too (a fighter like Will Joppy holding a recognised belt, for instance). This guy was a top-5 consensus pound-for-pounder at the height of his career - that is King at his nefarious best. He would’ve got the decision vs an unmarketable fighter like Wright if it had happened while the wheels were still on the gravy train, the same way Chávez, “drew” with Pernell Whitaker.

Although I picked Bernard Hopkins to spring the upset, I admit I didn’t see it as the one-sided unveiling it turned out to be. That he went from being an absolute megastar to virtually retiring as a result of his first 200% undebatable loss was the vindication about him I needed. Fraud.

Due respect I think you are delusional, I like you but your Trinidad opinions are emotionally charged, negative and silly most of the time. He was very obviously a fantastic fighter.

I’ll calm down after he’s dead.

When he’s gone he’ll be remembered fondly for as long as boxing exists.

Corrales in that first fight with Castillo, which I think took everything out of him.

Which is odd because you’d expect the fighter to come out of that bout shattered would be Castillo. Fighters have had their career derailed by lesser defeats.
