Watching back some of Bivols recent fights he has just enough lapses to cost him against even an aging Beterbiev who may or may not have lost a step recently(I don't believe he's diminished significantly) Much lesser opponents such as Smith, Salamov and even Arthur were able to time Bivol with some pretty nice right hands. Beterbiev will land more than a few of those, and he should be able to wear Bivol down enough on the inside to secure a late stoppage even if age has caught up with him. But idk... I have a feeling this is going to br surprisingly easy for him. We shall see!

I think it's age and Bivols newfound popularity after beating Clenelo. Before Clenelo the overwhelming consensus was that Beterbiev smashes Bivol. Since then it's teetered back and forth in-between fights. Now with age, injury concerns - coupled with said newfound popularity Bivol is the favorite heading in the fight. I hope the odds get wider, but I have a feeling there will be a lot of late money dropped on Beterbiev.

I think Beterbiev will be able to land with his shots but will Bivol's volume and movement be able to keep him on the defensive more than we've seen before and also will Biviol's defensive skills prevent Beterbiev from landing as much as he usually does. But Beterbiev can always hurt him with one big shot and when he gets you hurt he's one of the best finishers in the game if not the best

Beterbiev still looks really good but he is old and Bivol has the right attributes and style to make that more apparent

Could be. Prime for prime I have Beterbiev stopping him and I still favour him to do so now but Bivol's really that good.

But then again, much lesser euro-style boxers like Koelling, Deines, Gvozdyk were able to box with Beterbiev for almost full 12. It may as well turn out like Canelo-Bivol. "Ok, Canelo is going to turn the heat up soon", again and again, then the final bell rings and it is a blowout. This is what makes this fight so exciting - no one knows.

I don't know how you defend against this. The only way is to not be there but not being there for 12 rounds is a lot easier said than done even for elite boxers with elite defence. To be fair, Bivol is the best equipped out of everyone to not be there

Callum Smith had never been down before

Joe Smith had never been down before

Cloud had never been down before

Hot Rod had never been down before

Callum Smith, Joe Smith, Callum Johnson, Hot Rod, Marcus Browne, Prieto, Alexander Johnson only been stopped by one man - Beterbiev. Joe Smith has 2 stoppage losses on his ledger but the other was on an injury (broken jaw)

That's very interesting. If he manages to KO Bivol with that stance, it will be

    I can't wait :headbash

Yes. It could be mind games but I'd be surprised if he boxes from that stance. He might do so for short spells though

Bivol has fought Zurdo from that stance, but I can't remember anyone else

I just checked. He's fought four southpaws: Zurdo, Agnew, Berridge, and Clarkson

He stopped them all in 4 rounds a piece sans obviously Zurdo but the later is one of his best performances

Has there ever been a bigger fight in boxing between 2 guys who hate to talk?

i don't understand why people always favour power over skills. moreover, with Bivol there's the same prejudice about his presumed feather-fists that were with Mayweather, and the same is for Usyk. Despite they don't have a lot of ko's, their power is enough to make their opponents think twice to the next punches they throw. if these three times you, they probably has enough power to make you stunned. that's why is impossible to walk down guys like Floyd, Usyk or Bivol. if Beterbiev exposes himself to much he could, I wouldn't say easily, but probably get do'ed

Sometimes it's a few cans of Bitter first, just as a starter.

    And then invariably it's.....

Red usually, but I don't mind a nice White or Rosé.

The only problem with wine is, it slips down soooooooooo easily and you can end up drinking more than you originally intended. It's pretty sneaky ....
