Am I the only one expecting this weekend's fight to be one-sided?

Yeah. Beterbiev is going to smash Bivol in a fairly one-sided and disappointing fight(to some)

Bivol is too good for him & that's not disregarding Beterbiev's ability.

this is one of the few times where i can't pick a fighter to win. as of right now, it is 50/50 in the truest sense. this is why this fight intrigues me.

You’re not alone. I’ve thought that beterbiev would make reasonably light work of Bivol for a couple of years.

I get the sense that this fight will be very close but its a fight of completely opposite styles. I think the fight will be very competitive for the skill in the ring but witch ever style is superior in this fight will show up early and very easy to see. This might not make sense as i dont think im wording it very well. Kinda like an all or nothing fight. I hope its a very competitive fight and I have no idea who will win. 3 years ago I would have said AB but im not sure anymore. Hope the best man wins with no controversy please.

Nah, I could see it being one sided either way.

Personally, I'm leaning toward Bivol winning and making it look easier than a lot of folks are expecting. Not to say it will be easy mind you, it's a fight where Bivol will have to be on his A game from the opening bell to the final seconds. Normally I'd say that's a tall order, but for Bivol that's just kinda par for the course. Not saying Beterbiev is gonna be beaten as badly as Canelo was by any means either though. I'm expecting something like a 9-3/8-4 type decision rather than a total shutout.

That said, these guys will be fighting their best opponent on Saturday, so anything can happen. Can't definitively say either way, I'm equally prepared to say I called it or eat crow  One of the upsides to some great talent finally meeting :ggg

Not the best opponent Beterbiev has faced. He beat prime Gvozdyk.

Bivol got hurt by Joe Smith Jr. Beterbiev is gonna do the same to Bivol, except much earlier and much harder.

Jesus that was a bad space out on my part. Weird since the Gvozdyk fight was my favorite of the ones I watched in the leadup to the Beterbiev's fight with Yarde. It's also part of my basis for picking Bivol. Not to say they're exactly the same by any means, I just think part of Gvozdyk's loss in that fight was being too willing to take one to give one early on, and against Beterbiev that plan is... a bit cocky, to say the least. Bivol's risk aversion is part of why I think he'll be able to avoid getting broken down late in the fight like Gvozdyk. At the same time though, while I think Bivol has underrated pop in his punches, he certainly doesn't carry the power of Gvozdyk, and that was also key in his success for that fight. I think Bivol will be able to keep the pressure from getting to him, but like I said I wouldn't be shocked by the opposite happening.

Ah well, point still stands that there's gonna be some major talent in that ring tomorrow. Not too long now! :beer-toast1:

Well, I know what I'm eating tonight. What's a good recipe for Crow? I'm thinking burgers or chili, maybe a nice barbecue

Right call. Despite all the bleating and sour grapes, Beterbiev won that fight pretty clearly. I had him winning 116-112
