8-4 beterviev is crazy. But judges favoring front foot fighters is nothing new

 

He absolutely knows he got a gift.

 

But he landed more. Saying he missed OK, so long as you landed more.

 

Not enough bodyshots, not enough hooks around the guard (most landed on the guard, despite the commentators excitement). Beterbiev didn’t come close to winning this fight.

 

Happy for the old man but I think Bivol got robbed. Looked to me like he blocked or partially blocked most of Beter’s punches. Didn’t really score it, will watch the replay.

 

Both men were hitting gloves a lot. 114 - 114 or 115 - 113 for either man is okay in my book.

 

I thought Bivol deserved the win. I could see a draw being reasonable. I'd have to be generous to give that to Beterbiev. Some close rounds, but Bivol did the cleaner work.

 

Definitely didn't win 8 rounds. I could see 7. I scored it a draw.

Great technical fight. Reminded of Kovalev-Ward I. Even in the controversy.

 

114-114 Draw. Beterbiev's body work secured him a few of the middle rounds and he swept the championship rounds. 116-112 seems a little wide, but 115-113 either way was perfectly reasonable. No robbery. Lovely fight.
