Well, that fight didn't go the way I wanted it to, but I still quite enjoyed the fight. What were the odds on a Beterbiev decision? Bet some lucky mother****er is laughing to the bank right now

Still though, the biggest shock of the night to me is Wardley putting a damn dent in Clarke's head. Yikes. Didn't see that **** coming at all, and I picked Wardley to win via stoppage. Man just wanted to pick up where he left off, and he did that and the some.

Telling your fighter you need a knockout in a razor close fight seems like good corner work for me... because Bivol pretty much gave up the last two, what was said in Bivol's corner?

Most of the clean effective punching was coming from Bivol

According to Bivol, the bruise around his left eye was caused by his own glove.

And since he didn't land a Furyesque own-uppercut, we can conclude that even when he caught punches on his gloves, they still inflicted damage to his face.

You act like AB looked the same. He looked like total crap in there tonight compared to himself 5 years ago. He looked every bit his age. Bivol is lucky he didn't fight a younger AB because he would have quit on his stool.

Yeah, Bivol only clinched a couple of times, and he could have controlled the championship rounds a bit more if he had done more of it

Beterbiev corner the whole fight was acting like they were losing the fight. That tells you a lot.

Yeah but for much of the fight Bivol was landing hard counters and initiating exchanges off the back foot, Pernell Whitaker style, taking Beterbiev off guard... DB got the better of most of these exchanges precisely because he baited AB into chasing him. He also countered very well in the pocket.

Beterbiev had some moments but didn't really take over rounds until the 11th... There is a case for an AB win but it's not like Bivol was running.

Boxing has never been about landed more. Judges don't have the benefit of looking at compubox and seeing who landed more. It's about 1. Clean and effective punching 2. Ring generalship 3. Defense 4. Effective aggression. No where in there is who landed more.

As someone who backed Bivol, this is my bright spot. Hearn losing so much is better than almost any of my favorites winning

He said he got the cut under his eye from his own glove being pushed back. Is that how it really happened?
