Yea Opetaia would beat him and beat him bad. I would say by KO too. Beterbiev without the power factor is just an average guy. At cruiser his power would just be average.

    Exactly right.

I can't see where @IntentionalButt and others see a robbery.

I don’t have a problem with that but I thought bivol edged the eleventh round but I noted it as very very close, I had bivol by two rounds but I had two rounds as close and two rounds as very very close.
I dont agree with the result and definitely the 116-112 card but I have more of a problem with people here not giving bivol the credit for that performance, the feeling on here was that most people favoured Beterbiev and those who favoured him were pretty confident, those who were backing bivol were backing him but with more of a gut feeling rather than confidence.
Bivol was going into a fight against a champion who had knocked out every opponent in his professional career, the only champion in the sport with a 100 percent knockout record, and he boxed clever and fought with dignity and discipline, people saying he was running didn’t watch the fight properly or don’t respect the sport, he moved well and used his jab well for a good portion of the early rounds, up until the fifth round.
He was willing to step in and meet Beterbievs
Shots with his own and offer having the better of the exchanges. His manoeuvres and dips when he was in range and Beterbiev was on the offensive were something special and he did it a few times to get off the ropes, often throwing and connecting on his way out.
Beterbiev is a master at closing down the ring and pinning down his opponents for most of the fight he didn’t do that while landing anything really meaningful.
Beterbiev was aggressive and never really looked worried or rushed his work, he always seemed confident that he would eventually pin Bivol down and get the knockout, the discipline he showed was equally as impressive as bivol, when he got caught as bivol moved out, he had no problem resetting in the centre of the ring, he got caught by Bivol and beaten to the punch and he never looked like he was going to change his game plan.
The only fighter in the sport with a 100 percent knockout record was aggressive.
The fighter with a reputation as a disciplined boxer with arguably the best jab and as good footwork as any in the sport, jabbed and moved. They both stuck to their respective strengths and game plans.
This is literally the best example of styles make fights that I can remember, so I have a problem with anyone discrediting either fighter.
That was an absolute treat of a fight.
    I salute them both.
This is also an example of why I just can’t get into mma.

Any update on the guy who got his jaw cracked. Thought his face looked worrying.

I had it 5-5 -2 with Beterbiev finishing stronger as he always does. I'm glad Beterbiev won because i love punchers and pressure fighters and that Beterbiev is 39 years old and would most likely not get another chance.

I can't remember anyone before going toe to toe with Beterbiev late in a fight.

Beterbiev has completed LHW. No weight cuts, at his old amateur weight and chasing more greatness. Any fight from here on out is a risk. Why not chase higher glory?

What Bivol proved today is that you remove power from beterbiev and there is nothing left. A very prosaic fighter.

I was going for Beterbiev, watched the entire fight intently, but that was no robbery. A robbery is Haney Loma. I didn't see 8 rounds for AB, but I certainly thought he could have won. I personally think that it was a draw.

Haney Loma was no robbery, and in this fight the most you can give to mr alla uh akbar is a draw.

    I see a pattern here.

Yea and if you make Shaq a normal sized man he is nothing on the basketball court. What's your point?

Whilst I don't completely disagree, one could argue that Beterbiev controlled the last 3 rounds - arguably the longest and most important stretch of the fight with one fighter being more dominant than the other
