Some people on this forum are incredibly naive. There is no question that Bivol was a better boxer tonight.

The judges cooked the decision for several reasons. One, this is least likely outcome so maximum profit for people who are in on the fix. Second, now Beterbiev retires and belts get fractured again - maximum profit for promoters and governing bodies.

AB looked old for the first time tonight. Ran out of gas midway through the fight and had to take some rounds off. That wasn't the same guy. Which makes sense because he's 40 freaking years old. I wouldn't give Bivol a rematch. He aged AB out on purpose and then AB still beat him anyways.

So you think just because he could not KO Bivol, he can't do it with Jai, who is open to be punched ? And what about his size ? Is he bigger than Callum Smith ? Beterbiev was at CW and he is used to fight bigger guys.

Beterbiev needs new challenge and that AUS hypejob is perfect for him.

    116-112 isnt that crazy

even if bivol won 116-112 that wouldn't have been that crazy.
the judges agreed on 10 of the 12 rounds. Bivol was clearly winning the fight but then lost 3 of the last 4 rounds. I thought he was going to nick it but gave beterbiev the edge

115-113 I felt it was close and the auro of beterbiev winning by ko would have made it too hard for him to win on the cards. if they rematch bivol can adjust

Run out of gas????? throwing 70 punches per round in the latest rounds of the fight? looking like he was able to run a marathon after the fight? buy a pair of glasses, dude.

It's hard to argue with this logic. It definitely had the feel of a "gift" decision for Artur. I wouldn't call it a robbery but I think we can say confidently that AB definitely got the benefit of the doubt.

He took rounds off so that he could prepare for rounds 11 and 12.

Put it this way, its quite disrespectful to Bivol for this fight to not at least be a draw. Beterbiev dominated the last 2 rounds but to give Bivol only 4 rounds is wild

He isn't a draw but there's an elephant in the room that we must consider. Artur Beterbiev is a devout Muslim who praises Allah. The fight was in Saudi Arabia home of the birthplace of Islam. You do the math. He definitely had a "religious" hometown advantage. I can't say I'm shocked that he got a decision that many watching thought he lost.

He was all over Bivol in the 10th tbf the most dominant round for either fighter in the whole fight

^^^Case in point about naive people. As if they were going to let Bivol control all belts for the next several years,

I’m not sure that’s what happened here, it’s not a robbery but it’s not the correct decision
