I felt Bivol had just edged it by a round or two, but would have been satisfied with a draw. Less satisfied with a Beterbiev decision, definitely didn't agree with that, but at the same time, it was so close you can't really complain too much. I always tend to notice the skills and movement of a slick boxer like Bivol though, rather than what the pressure fighter is doing, so that's probably why.
I'm just repeating what Bivol said, and I've never heard a boxer say before after a fight that his own gloves damaged his eye. If it happens all the time then thats news to me. Live and learn. As I told Joseph Parker not long ago, I'm a lover not a boxer. He responded with You can do both, you know.
I feel people would have been upset either way. I think most people will agree bivol lost the last 2 rounds. so the people that had bivol winning would have only gave beterbiev 3 of the first 10.
I don't get how this isn't just huge kudos to Beterbiev. Bivol is a textbook masterclass. There was a chess match with dynamite on the table tonight. Surely these are the fights that boxing purists want. I especially appreciated the quality of the promo video over the boring gutter reaching trash talk that boxing so often turns to. I can get with it when there's actual animosity there but more than often it's just scrambling for cheap digs. Beterbiev and Bivol were always going to put their focus in the ring and that's absolutely f**king brilliant with me
Draw. Both fighters made mistakes with Beterbiev passive at the start, and Bivol passive at the end. Great fight though! We have to see a rematch. Btw, I hope Clarke is okay, that was brutal, I really felt for him. I wonder if the first fight took a lot of Clarke's punch resistance. My god though, Wardley is so so heavy handed.
I thought coming into the last round Artur needed a knockdown or TKO to win.....I think Bivol was a bit stiff.!!!
I'm expecting both of them to fight each other again. Bivol has proved that Beterbiev could not K.O. him. He has skills and best chin. If the rematch can be made then Bivol will beat Beterbiev this time.
I had it 7-5 to Beterbiev, and didn’t have a dog in the fight. I had it even after 10, with Beterbiev pulling it out in the championship rounds. both guys were great though.
Got Beterbiev 115-113, if you have Bivol 115-113 or 116-112 I wouldnt argue cause its close. Give me that **** again.
