i decided to watch the fight again just to see if its what i saw last night. pretty much everyone gave bivol the first 2, but many gave beterbiev the third, including all 3 judges. why? just finished that rd. and this is what i saw. beterbiev did not land a single scoring blow for the first 2 minutes and 3 seconds. then he scored a handful of points in the next 16 seconds, and didnt score another one after that. bivol scored consistently before, during and after those 16 seconds arthur did something. here is the fight. tell me im wrong. point to the scoring i missed. Bivol won that round comfortably. People gave to it him because of his reputation, not because of what he did.
the winner of the rd was obvious. i want someone who counts that rd for biev on his scorecard, to explain to me how he got there. and to show where my op went sideways.
Is it possible that ringside judges dont have a good enough view to see how many of Arturs punches dont actually land? Its easy to see when watching on TV but I wonder if when ringside its harder to tell.
that explains the judges. what about the people who saw the same images im seeing again, and still gave it to arthur?
Out of 622 people, around 80% gave the third to Bivol. It is very strange to have seen the three judges give this round to Beterbiev. https://boxrec.com/en/scoring/3213264
it was plain as day. this is the point in the rbr that i got an idea of who was not going to be reasonable. i said the rds were clear so far.
it was a schooling. if im bivols corner, i could not have hoped for better. yet...some people still saw biev winning that.
That's some very interesting fan scoring. I see that the first 3 were overwhelmingly in favor of Bivol, however the 4th was over 60% in favor Beterbiev. Round 4 was a round that, to some people at least, seemed to be even a more clear round for Bivol than Round 3. The closest round in that poll was Round 7, very slightly in favor of Beterbiev 52% to 48%. What stands out is the final average score which was incredibly close - 113.89 to 113.82 every so slightly in favor of Beterbiev. That's one of the closest fan scorings on Boxrec that I can remember.
What do you make of that boxrec fan scoring? As someone who says it was a Bivol schooling, the boxrec RBR scoring was exceedingly close and even ever so slightly in favor of Beterbiev.
Also on the Boxrec scoring, what goes into that "Professional Officials" card? What stands out to me there is that that card had Bivol winning Round 12 10-9, despite all 3 official judges and the fan scoring overwhelmingly scoring that round in favor of Beterbiev.
