But you are being obtuse. A specialist doctor described the injury as extremely unusual and consistent with a person being struck in the face by a brick. No I think you do have to admit that is strange. His skull caved in. Of all the biggest punchers that have ever lived bigger punchers than Wardley is, none have caused an injury as horrific as that to an opponent. That is a bit suspicious.

Wilders face had a dent after Fury.

I find it hard to believe you can tamper with gloves with the modern protocols.

It was a freak incident, I would take it as it is. Doesn’t make him a murderous puncher, just means he caught him with a shot at a certain angle.

If i was jared anderson i’d be looking to smash a journeyman up then get in with wardley in Q1 2025.

A tough game opponent but one he should be beating every day of the week

Swelling can look like a dent. This didn't look like a dent it was a confirmed hole in his skull. Odd, I'd say. It may be difficult to tamper with gloves, unless Saudi Arabia's athletic commission is less competent or less stringent. Which actually would would make it the perfect candidate for shenanigans. No I don't have hard evidence. But the whole thing stinks and even the attending maxillofacial surgeon seemed highly dubious over all of it.

Your last sentence; you do not know this for sure. All we have is the text of what the surgeon said. I would have preferred to see a video of him saying this to potentially garner what he meant by it, as the way he said what he said could give clues to what he really means.

Yes, he may be dubious over what really caused the injury. That's one way of reading it. Alternatively, he may be giving kudos to the power of the shot from Wardley.

Without further context, or straight up asking the surgeon does he think the injury was caused by something more then a gloved fist, we don't know what he meant.

I think he emphasized "tremendous amount of power" repeatedly to elaborate just how unusual it would have to be for a glove fist to do such damage. Its an injury you would normally see for bricks to the face. I read that as disbelief on his part frankly. And yes it is hard to believe.

It was a bit of one off punch. No amount of tampering with the glove would have made it on par with a brick so the surgeon's words are rather meaningless. Boxing is a sport where the competitors have extremely unusual punch powers, extremely unusual recovery from being punched, and are extremely fit. 99.9% of people (like me) wouldn't last a second in a ring and the surgeon's words reflect that, he usually works on normal injuries.

People have died in the ring so I am not sure how you can say Clarke's injury was the most horrific of all time.

Looks like Clarke could have a very good case to get this loss overturned

You've hardly convinced me by writing "cheater" in all caps and with whatever that video from YouTube is supposed to be.

What do doctors say happen to bare fists that dent other people's heads? Perhaps that the hand will be smashed to bits? Wardley must've been carrying a hammer.

Guy making the video is so concerned about Wardley's murderous glove tampering that he dedicates most of his video to other stuff.
