Good and valid points about the ages. Agreed.

The drained excuse doesnt really seem to hold water imo, no pun intended.

The fight Roy was knocked out in came 6 months after they had already fought at light heavyweight.

I could see a case to be made to say that Roy maybe wasnt at his best for Tarver 1, but by the second Tarver fight I dont see how it can be a valid excuse to base the entire loss on.

Roy actually looked very good in that second Tarver fight, he simple got caught perfectly.

Age, Roy was 35 who relied on his borderline superhuman reflexes and nowadays people are already making excuses about joshua losing his reaction time at 34

It’s not just about him getting KOd, he wasn’t the same fighter in the first Tarver fight either.

Look at Kell Brook, who looked like he could be the best WW in the world at one point, but didn’t do **** after moving up 2 divisions and draining back down to welter.

I can say the same about Chad Dawson, who was arguably coming off of his best win when he moved down to face Ward, but was never the same after.

Chris Byrd, Eddie Chambers against Mchunu, ODLH agains Pac, just off top of my head. Draining yourself in your 30s is a bad idea, especially for a fighter in their 30s.

Brook wasn't the same because of what GGG did to him, the weight had nothing to do with it

James Toney whups Beterviev. Andre Ward as well. S.O.G makes him quit. Hopkins outpoints him.

Do you just like deliberately trolling ? Virgil Hill made 20 title defences he fought against more than 20 opponents who were current/former world champions.

Outside or Beterbiev/Bivol the Light Heavyweight division is pretty forgettable you have no idea what you're talking about. And you shouldn't be claiming stuff you have 0 knowledge on because you yourself look a fool.

Hill fought more than 20 opponents who were former/current world champions how many has Beterbiev fought in comparison ? Yeah that's what I thought.

Look at who he actually fought for those "titles". A guy like Gvozdyk who isn't even the best of this generation would cut through that resume like a knife through butter

He could be but I think he was proven innocent. I just find it amusing that a prime Roy Jones is portrayed as this invincible character by his fan boys. I used to think Roy was the greatest before I got more educated.
