The article cited from Boxing Social is from from 2021. The claim that the WBC had banned Fly gloves cannot be the case, because Dillian Whyte wore them vs Tyson Fury in his April 2022 WBC challenge. This content is protected You are clutching at straws. Even Ben Shalom yesterday was very clear that he did not blame Wardley.
Any of Journeyman Whyte, Journeyman Joshua or Journeyman Chisora should be his next fight. Come through this level and he is ready test himself against a Bakole, Hrgovic or Miller.
Satire? Miller would get walloped. Hrgovic is an overrated prospect who never done nowt as a pro. Bakole is the new mythical fighter for internet armchair supporters. I maintain that Wilder should be Wardleys next foe. Get onto the stage with a bang by beating Wilder.
"No boxing glove should be able to cause the type of injury that Frazer suffered" - Official doctor at the fight ^^^^ Not going to address this at all then are we, gentleman? Just act like it wasn't said then? Know more than doctors now do we? Apparently Wardley's gloves were custom made for him. That opens up all sorts of tampering possibilities in an athletic commission that isn't used to boxing and may not know how to check on these kinds of things. It would perfectly explain why Wardley showed such unbelievable bone crushing power immediately in this fight but did not in all 12 rounds of his last fight with Clarke. He hit him a few hundreds of times prior so why couldn't he punch any holes into his skull then? Why such a sudden and dramatic increase in power that doctors say is impossible? What else could cause such new increased power?
Gloves are inspected by the referee 30 - 60 minutes prior to the fight as they are being laced up. The referee can request a fighter to lace up a new pair if he spots irregularities. You are not coming into the ring these days with loaded gloves and getting away with it.
You are showing next to no understanding of how these things work. It's difficult to tell whether you're being deliberately oblivious, or whether you are serious. The BBBofC - the British Boxing Board of Control - was the commission in charge of this bout. You are suggesting that they are an "athletic commission that isn't used to boxing". Nothing could be further from the truth. There's such a thing as being suspicious. This was a horrible injury, and any legitimate suspicion should be called out. That's a very different thing to calling someone a cheat and making up facts to try and enhance your argument.
It has been addressed several times. And how exactly would some tampering of the gloves explain how the injury was consistent with a brick to the face? You are having a mare really, only using the doctors words in ways that suit your argument. Your idea seems to be that Wardley can punch holes in walls with his bare hands yet when wearing proper boxing gloves his punches are just average. And you don't just turn up and fight in your "lucky gloves" This content is protected
"No boxing glove should be able to cause the type of injury that Frazer suffered" Those are the doctor's words. I am not twisting the doctor's words in any way. The doctor states that this injury is NOT POSSIBLE with a boxing glove.
The fact is the fight was held in Saudi Arabia not Britain and everything from the shipping and finally the checking of Wardley's custom made gloves, which already have the seedy reputation for flimsy padding that rapidly shifts apart with just the standard gloves, goes through multiple levels of handling by the different people that will be in charge there, unless they flew out every single member of the BBBofC. Do you have evidence of this?
Miller would not get walloped, his chin is more than sturdy enough and he'll pose a few problems with his constant pressure coming forward. Hrgovic is overrated, yes, I never saw the big hype in him. Bakole v Wardley would be a good fight, would be nice to see next actually. Anyway, nice to see you again DramaShow.
I've seen dreadful facial injuries caused, sometimes even from open handed strikes, it all depends on where and how the person is hit, and the position of their jaw at the time. Human anatomy can take incredible punishment, or seem incredibly fragile, sometimes within moments...
He has or at least had ties to Dillian Whyte for years so I don’t see that happening. People saying “Zhang” are getting way ahead of themselves. Whilst he was explosive in his last fight, he did still draw with Clarke in his fight previous bout to that so still needs fights which will bridge the gap to the next level up. Someone like a Franklin or a Wallin would be spot on at this stage
