I'm arguing that boxing is subjective and your assessment is no more valid than someone elses. I'm arguing that your belief that objectively you could only score the fight for Bivol, is wrong.
i disagree. i think my assessment is more valid than most, and not as valid as some. nobody is equal. participation trophies are for kids.
There's no trophy, it's a subjective measure. This isn't everyone running a race. It's everyone watching 3 minutes of closely contested combat and deciding who wins the round. And that's subjective. I know you struggle with that, but it's the nature of the sport. It's why we have judges.
no, thats why we have boxing judges judge fights, and not tennis officials. because some people do it better than others. no difference between you and i. your round score of 40 love does not equal my 10-8 rd.
Your appeal to authority won't work in this example since the judges gave Beterbiev the win. And you disagree, which is fine, it's subjective. You just can't go round saying your level of subjection is better than others.
But you can't prove it, which is why you come across as emotional. The people you appealed to disagree with you, you're argument is a self defeating circular.
look, ive laid out the process. if you cant see, or dont want to see, how comparing what you scored, to what you can verify with video, then we will just leave it at that. any dumbass score is valid. all three judges could have scored it 120-108 beterbiev and its perfectly valid, cause after all, its all subjective. im gonna stick with my reality.
Bivol was hurt, running and holding on for dear life in the championship rounds. That does not point to a clear Bivol win, particularly when the first 9 rounds were close and Beterbiev was pressing the action for the entire fight. I could see how one could score a Bivol win by a round, but over the entire fight, I feel it was too close to give either man.
The Canelo fight was setup for a robbery, but Bivol won 12 rounds, so it was impossible to give the Wranger the win.
.......who is one of the best fighters of this generation. Based on skills and performances, Beterbiev is better than the beloved CCs - Canelo and Crawford. In short, Canelo's clear robbery wins against GGG et al, drug use, and A-side avoidance of risk, along with Crawford's thin resume against smaller fighters and his recent struggle against Madrimov.
On the night I thought Bivol won somewhat comfortably. I didn’t really score it at the time just posted who I felt won the rounds during the fight. I gave Bivol the first 3 rounds, lost my feed in the 4th and gave it to AB BASED ON COMMENTARY (rewatched and thought it was closer than they made out). By round 8 my comment was “I think Bivol is running away with it”. I didn’t like AB’s work on the night. He was hitting gloves far more often than landing clean. Pretty sure I said something to that effect during the night in the RBR. After a rewatch I have not changed my mind. The cheeky part of me wants to say If we’re counting the shots hitting the guard then Bivol put on a clinic, but that’s not the case. It was a great fight regardless of who was declared the victor. Boxing won and so did the fans. Can’t wait for the rematch.
